A must have
I bought this a while back and finally had the chance to put it to use with a half dozen older fuel canisters. The fuel canister brands were from several different companies. his tool worked perfectly, transferring fuel amongst different brand canisters. I checked all the cans prior, using a Jetboil brand canister scale, which I have found to be very accurate. All transfers left the "receiving" canister measuring "100%" with the scale. As others have stated, the directions are there for a reason. The temperature difference between the "sending" and "receiving" canisters is important. Which one is on top or bottom also matters. just follow the directions. This will save me a bunch of money, as I used to leave 15% to 30% canisters in a bin because they weren't adequate for my trips. Now I can keep them consolidated and at 100%, making this well worth the cost of this quality tool.

Good quality works great a little bit expensive for what it is
Works great. I have used a bunch of times already to transfer fuel. Little on the expensive side. I’m not sure if it be added price really matters. There are others with these features and less expensive. But quality seems to be good.

Works easily
Fantastic to have an option for refilling fuel canisters instead of adding to trash/recycling. I can fill a small canister or medium one depending on length of backpacking trip and don't have to carry 2 canisters or have 6 partially full canisters sitting around home. Be careful not to overfill (I weighed the new full ones so I know how much to fill the empty ones). I put masking tape on the canisters to keep track of the weight. Now, I also know who much fuel I used per day.

Refill fuel tanks for backpacking
Excellent tool to refill fuel tanks for backpacking and camping. You should know pressure will reach an equilibrium between the two tanks. A bigger tank will help to fill a smaller tank 85% full but not maximum fill as if bought at a store new. You can help this with tank temperatures. Cold gas is compressed and warm gas expends. So warm the tank you wish to dispense from in warm water and chill the receiving tank prior to filling for best results.

Great addition to any backpacker’s gear list
I can’t believe I had never heard of this tool until now but it’s a great addition for anyone into backpacking. It solves the age old problem of whether to risk carrying a half-empty fuel container into the wild, having to carry an extra container as a backup, or simply buying a fresh full canister for each trip and having a bunch of half-empties in a bin at home. Now I can buy a large fuel container and just keep refilling my small one that I carry on trips. The transfer process is simple and straightforward….just be sure to read the instruction and/or watch a video to ensure you get the temperature differential needed. It’s not cheap at $35 but the cost savings over the long haul and piece of mind of knowing I’m always carrying a full cannister is well worth it.
