Pampered Chef Large Silicone Mix N Scraper #1657

I grew up using one of these in my mom's house, and when I grew up and left home I missed it. There just aren't other scrapers like it. Finally when I got married I went ahead and bought one, and I use it all the time. It works so well, and the shape of the scraper allows it to get everything out of the bowl. The rubber is really durable, and is worlds better than the cheap alternatives. It is worth every penny!

I bought my original Pampered Chef Mix N Scraper about 10 or so years ago at a Pampered Chef in home "party." Was well worth the evening making niceties. This workhorse has been a part of my baking arsenal since I first dipped it in Crisco. I have been doing wedding and special occasion cakes for a long time and this baby has proven itself to be the most reliable spatula I have ever owned! You won't be disappointed. Just bought one for my fiance. He needs one til I get there!

Pampered Chef products are pricy, but totally worth the money. I bought my first Mix N Scraper 20 years ago and used it almost daily between then and now. LAST WEEK, one corner of my MixNScraper tore off! It must have made contact with something sharp at some point (like maybe the blender blade?) and it finally split off. I didn't even consider looking around for another brand to replace it. This scraper is awesome. I've used it in hot foods, cold foods, boiling pots and cake mixing bowls. I use it every time I move food from one container to another to get every drop of my product. (MUCH to the dismay of my daughter who wants to 'lick the bowl', LOL! There isn't much left!) It's soft enough to conform to every shape of pan or curve of my bowls, but it's also firm enough that I can use it to keep the jelly from burning on the bottom of my pots as I prepare it, then to get every bit of my jelly goodness out of the pot and into my jars. I also use it when making Rice Krispy treats, and I can even leave it in the bowl while in the microwave melting the butter and marshmallows. I love this product, and in 20 years, I'll buy another one if I have to.

We have purchased many spatulas over the years and have been disappointed with the majority of them. This Pampered Chef Mix N Scraper is by far our favorite. It is heavy duty, good for just about any job. Its head is fused to its handle, so you do not have to worry about it separating or food getting stuck inside of it. It is heat resistant to 650 degrees and is dish washer safe. On the downside, it can become stained from certain foods, such as spaghetti sauce. The spatula is a bit pricey, but it is worth the cost to us.

I was purging some of my kitchen utensils that have worn over 30-40 years. I had this Pampered Chef super scraper since PC was introduced to the market of home sales. It had been accidentally chewed by the garbage disposal a couple time, and frankly...just looked ineffective. Tomy shock, it was a utensil that was still highly used AND effective to my son and husband. I looked on Amazon, and saw it available, but shocked to see the price point (ofcourse it was less pricy in 1980,) but so happy to have back in circulation in our kitchen. Truly an investment.

I already had one of these that I purchased long ago at a Pampered Chef, and since the original is almost always in the dishwasher because of how often I use it, I wanted a second one. It’s a great tool. I use it for stirring, mixing, scraping batter out of bowls, stir fry, curries, etc. if you use it for things like stir fry or curry, expect it to discolor over time, which doesn’t affect its use at all.

I joke that I couldn't cook anything without this, but it's really almost the truth. I use this thing every day. It's big, and good for scooping salads, batters, whips and the like from one container to another; and when you're done scooping, you can use it to clean out the bowl. It's silicon and heat-rated so you can sautee with it. The head of it is fused/attached, so it doesn't come off, and you don't have food leaking in around the handle hole. Seriously, this thing is my right hand in the kitchen. Don't know what I would do without it.
