Claeys Horehound Hard Candy, 6 oz (Pack of 3)

This candy harks back to my childhood, and actually tastes just like I remember -- some other brands on the market certainly don't. But truth be told, Claey's Horehounds are delightful every day, not just when I have a cough! Well done, indeed, and much appreciated!

I used to have these horehound lozanges as a child and had fond memories of them. They taste the same as I rememeber. I keep them in my medicine cabinet. I usually only have them when Im sick or have a sore throat, as they provide soothing throat relief. Also the sugar provides some calories and energy as I usually dont eat much when Im sick. They are better than any other throat lozenge out there.

Am very glad to know that this product is still very much available. The taste is very pleasant and soothing to a dry mouth or- just when one wants a little bit of something slightly sweet, without ruining a diet ! :) !

Wonderful to find such a high-quality rendition of a treat I completely loved in my childhood ... Every time I have one I'm transported back to my grandmother's tiny cabin, sitting around a potbelly stove, and listening to her stories of the old days ...

I have never tried horehound candy in all of my 64 years. However, I was watching an old Gunsmoke episode where Chester was getting horehound candy at the general store. This peaked my interest so I decided to try some. The flavor has a sweet, slightly caramel/ vanilla flavor. It also has a very light bitterness, but not so much as to overwhelm. I am pleased to try it but since this is my first experience with horehound candy, I really can't make a comparison to any other.

We enjoyed our horehound candy !! It works, and our grandparents and parents gave it to us when we were kids for coughing and sore throat.

This was my first time trying this brand of candies and they are delicious! I’ve already ordered two of the other flavors. I don’t think I’ll be buying them on a regular basis though because they are quite expensive. But I think I deserved treat! Lol. They’re pretty good sized candy. They’re just loose in the bag and they have a bit of a powdered sugar finish on them to keep them from sticking together. The only thing that I don’t like about these is that they really die inside of your mouth a reddish pink. The flavor is very good. They are a good quality hard candy. I would recommend them if you’re looking for something sweet & tasty to try.

Raspberry candy very good

Delicious raspberry flavour. Dissolve slowly as they are old fashioned, super hard candies. I got them because my mouth is very dry from my medication.
