No brainer- buy this now
I've previously used Squirt which is a wax based drip lube. Worked well but didn't like the gunk it left on the drive train. This does exactly what it says, quieter cleaner drive train. Used inside and out. In use little bits of white come off, nothing else and can easily be brushed off.More details of my 1st attempt at waxing;-deep cleaned chain-melted wax in slow cooker. I used half the bag in a 5l slow cooker on high, this took about 1hr-swished chain around with slow cooker off. Instructions say 5 mins but I found too much wax dripping off, I waited 15 mins. This seemed to be about right, a nice drip of wax solidified almost instantly-waited to cool, about 2hrs-flexed each link over the slow cooker, bits of wax fell of back into the cooker. I did this by hand, I've seen that you can do by running over a tube, might try next time-installed back on bike. Took about 10mins to riding to get it smoothNot had to reapply yet. Process seemed intimidating to begin with but with patience was easy. Feels very pro on bike. Would definitely recommend, and for the price is worth trying. Works out about half the price of the previous lube I was using

Waxed bike chains are amazing and the Enigma Wax is excellent 👍
I bought the little 1.8L 4x dial heat-settings CrockPot for <£15 so I could wax my bike chains.I use about 300-400g of the 'Enigma Ultimate Chain Wax Blax Addition', which takes around 80-90 minutes on High setting to fully melt (wish it was a bit quicker, to be honest)I then insert 2x Pre-cleaned (White Spirit & Meths) bike chains. I leave for around 15 minutes for the chains to get up to temp, agitate the chains a lot inside the pot, then turn off the heat. After 5-10 mins when the wax has cooled I pull out the chains and let them drip down into the pot.I get 300-400 Km (in dry weather) from a chain before it starts to 'rattle' (meaning the wax has gone).I then apply Squirt Drip Wax before every long ride (around 100 Km).I quickly wipe down the chain with a cloth after every ride. After several rides (1000-1500 Km) I remove the chain, clean it with hot water (and sometimes a little more solvent)... Then repeat the Hot Wax dip. Both my current Shimano 105 11S chains are over 5000Km and still showing little wear (around 0.50). The same with all the other components (Chainrings, Jockey Wheels, etc) with the being cleaner and showing less wear!My bike runs quieter, and there's probably some power savings (but who's strong enough to actually notice that!).The greatest benefit is how much easier bike cleaning and maintenance is, with no oilly messy chain #lovely.I've just switched my Weekday bike chain over, so we'll see how that goes with shorter daily rides. If you have the time and inclination, I HIGHLY recommend chain waxing, and the Enigma Wax is does the job for me (at almost half the cost of other brands!)

Works well, but you have to know how to PROPERLY clean a chain
As with any hot melt wax, the key to it lasting well is PROPER chain cleaning.Reading some of the other reviews on here, I can't help but think they went in with a chain that wasn't spotless. I've done a chain with light usage and previous wet lube, and a brand new chain and both of them took at least 10 white spirit baths, where I agitated for several minutes, then let soak before they were coming out and leaving no residue when wiped on a cloth. This is the litmus test - you can't just go "3 washes, done", you have to keep going with the washes until when you wipe the chain nothing comes off, and it makes a metallic sound when moving around. I also do a quick bath in a STRONG degreaser before cleaning off with water and then the final Alcohol bath and drying. On to the wax itself, I've now got 250km on the one chain and it's still holding up well. No rust (despite the odd small rain showers during rides, and a good deep clean of the bike with soap and softened water).

Decent value dedicated chain wax.
Does the job.Dabbled with DIY wax with mixed results, seems to be completely dependant on the quality of whatever base paraffin wax you get, one lot was great, another just created a mushy and slow goo. This Enigma seems a good reliable propriatary wax as good as my succesfull DIY mix without the ambiguity. Is it as good as Silca Super Secret? No I don't think it is, but it is close, and it is half the price.

Try chain waxing - you’ll never drip lube again
Been using squirt wax for a long time but decided now was the time to go the whole hog and go full dip wax.Firstly, the process isnt quick but fairly easy. You need to THOROUGHLY clean your chain, especially if it’s new. Search Zero friction cycling for more details.A bag of this wax will last a huge amount of time. I bought the cheap crockpot off here (£15) and do 2 chains at a time. Put clean chain on top of cold wax and switch on - takes 90-120 minutes even in high. Once installed on bike the first 20 minutes the chain can be a bit jumpy but after that it’s is silky smooth. No oily mess and no need to reappy for a good few hundred kms. Get a few chains and rotate, then wax in batches. It’s a bit of a faff but in my opinion well worth it.

Smooth drive train, great wax!
Great wax, first time I have waxed my chain and it's a good performance upgrade. Overall smoother shifting and less noise from the drivetrain.
