Awesome product
Awesome instrument! My first lyre ever and within a day I got it sounding decent enough. The tuning pegs are quite sensitive, so approach tuning very carefully, especially the first time. Be patient and allow strings to settle and retune constantly. There are a lot of reviews with broken strings, mainly due to how fast strings tense up, be very gentle, can't stress this enough. The construction seems very good, especially for the price. One minor issue I found weird is that not all the strings are equally spaced: the middle ones have way more space between them than the ones to either end. Tuning pegs are equally spaced but as they curve down to the sides, strings get closer together. Perhaps it's intentional. Either way, not too complicated to get used to.

Beautiful instrument!
I've had this for a little while now and after the initial tuning this is an absolute joy to play. I'm not the most talented, but I love how easy this is to take places to pluck some strings when I'm in the mood. The size is perfect for travel, and with the ap on my phone I can easily tune it. What sold me on this particular instrument was its design, it's beautiful and very well put together.

Very easy to learn and play. Very easy to tune. Very good looking instrument. Great as a starter instrument. I've never learned to play an instrument but wanted to so I got this one. I really love the sound of it. This one turned out to be very well made from what I can tell, and it sounds very good. It needed to be tuned a lot the first few days and the pins would turn a bit in their own. After about a week that stopped and now it only needs to be tuned after every few hours of use.

good
amazing lyre, been practicing frequently for around 2-3 years now and its still holding strong, just make sure to replace the strings whenever they brake or get damaged, it was difficult to keep it in tune at first but the more you use it and keep tuning it it’ll eventually stick, overall an amazing instrument for those who are willing to try something new and have the patience to learn the inner workings of this lyre

Looks great, sounds good. Good value.. did not come with the tuning tool, but i was able to get one for under $5. My only issue is, as other reviewers have stated, it goes out of tune quickly.. but as others have stated, such is the way of stringed instruments. I just ordered a set of nylon strings, will be interested to hear the difference

An ideal beginners instrument (just keep tuning)
I’ve been wanting to learn a stringed instrument for decades, but I always had difficulty figuring them out or found the play style uncomfortable for my wrists and hands. Then I saw this lyre harp. With its clearly-labeled notes, lack of frets, and simple design, I had a hunch this would be the right instrument for me and my hunch was right. After only a few short hours of ownership, I was able to tune and pluck a trio of simple melodies. It’s a visually interesting and a pretty-looking instrument. I’m no professional but the sound quality seems decent enough. The plus side is this is also a really good instrument for playing softly, so don’t worry about annoying your neighbors when you practice. Some reviews mention that their instrument won’t stay in tune, and I also had this problem in the very beginning, but the more you play and fiddle with it, the longer the strings will hold their notes. So JUST KEEP TUNING! Seriously. Just give it a quick tune every day and within a week you’ll (likely) be all set. Bonus: there are a few different lyrists/harpists on YouTube with how-to-play tutorials available, so you can start learning as soon as you unbox and tune it.

Still struggling with tuning after over 6 months
This lyre is beautiful, but after close to 8 months of owning it, I have been unable to get it to stay in tune. I will get the first few strings tuned, and by the time I reach the final strings, the first strings that I had tuned have already fallen out of tune again. Initially, I had thought it had to do with temperature and/or the strings being new. However, it has had plenty of time to acclimate to the temperature. I have tried other methods, like lightly stretching the strings before tuning, but nothing seems to work to keep them in tune. I want so badly for it to work, but I cannot seem to get the strings to stay in tune for more than a few minutes at most. I am disappointed that it is virtually unplayable at this point.
