Great. Kids have build crafts with them and had fun

Great size and pretty strong. Not sure, but sticks are maybe bamboo? Not balsa?

Loved this pack. Sticks are very lightweight and very soft. I dented a few with my finger nails. So becareful when working with them. They came all even sizes, the edges were a little rough but easy to lightly sand. The bodies were pretty smooth.

This is a soft wood. Harder than balsa wood but not a hard wood like oak. Most of the pieces were well cut but a couple were milled at an angle so one end was a half inch square and the other was a rectangle a half inch wide and only a quarter inch tall. The finish sanding was only fair but after further sanding, the wood stained very nicely.

Wood appears to be straight enough. Haven't used yet.

Balsa wood is more like it. So soft there were dents from shipping and handling. They should be shipped in bubble wrap or foam being so fragile and definitely not what I was hoping for reading hard wood square dowel. The seller should rethink their wording in the listing and Amazon should rethink the logistics of shipping such fragile SOFT wood.

The pieces are exact making them ideal for crafts and miniatures. We have ordered, literally, a few thousand sticks.
