I liked the texture of this mask. It's similar to a sheet mask but it is a thick gel sheet rather than paper or fabric. It is a little slippery, so I recommend sitting still while wearing. I'm not sure if I noticed any results at all but it felt nice and relaxing while I was wearing it and my skin did feel soft and hydrated. The price is a bit much for a one time mask, but it is fun for every once in a while.

I liked that this gel mask comes in two pieces that you place onto your face. I feel like it is a little bit better this way when using a "one size fits all" kind of mask. This way you can position each piece where you want it and don't need to decide which part of your face should not line up to the holes perfectly! The gel is very cooling feeling as you place it on. It will rip a bit if you try to move it or if you poke it, but it is overall pretty easy to work with. You only need to relax with it on for 10 minutes, but can do longer if you like. I did longer and noticed the mask dries out pretty quickly after that 10 minutes, but I was still able to leave it on for probably about 30 minutes with no problem. It did leave my face looking bright and clear and my skin feeling soft. When I woke the next morning my face still looked refreshed. It's hard to say much about how great it is for the skin with just one treatment, but it did seem very nice. I feel like the current price of $10 for one mask is a bit high though. I would love to see this in a multi pack. Their website says they do not test products on animals, so that is another plus. I really enjoyed this at-home treatment for my face, so if the price seems okay to you, I'd say it is worth a try.

Overall I don't think you can go wrong with a Patchology mask. Masks are so tricky and as a consumer hard to know what all the complicated ingredients are and which ones are something you should put on your face and which ones are mysteries that you might never want to put on your face. My esthetician carries this brand so I trust it. I do like the thicker texture of this mask, but find it comparable to their other masks with this same material/texture combo with the exception of one - if I had to pick only one I would choose the Hydrogel Face Mask with Cannabis and Sativa every time.

The gel material of this mask is cooling and refreshing to wear. It's over-sized and contained plenty of product in it to not only cover my face but also had some to apply with my fingers onto my neck and chest. The gel weight and ingredients caused a temporarily smoothing of my skin leaving it super soft and hydrated. It contains a retinol ingredient that did cause a very minor amount of skin peeling, so I had to wear extra sun screen for several days following using the mask. Nice luxurious feeling mask that did help with refreshing my skin.

Barely stayed on my face. Hardly any product on it. Very disappointed.

I really enjoyed this mask and its retinol infused serum. I LOVE the feeling of eye gels, and this replicates that for my entire face -- which felt wonderful. It fit me very well, stayed in place, and is infused with great ingredients, like retinol. My face felt smooth and looked brightened afterwards and in the morning. While I typically like using eye gels in the morning, I used this face gel at night because of the retinol (it's best not to apply retinol before sun exposure).

Patchology is my go to brand for face masks. I love the catchy young adult theme and the ingredients list rocks.

I was surprised when I first used the Patchology Hydrogen Face Mask With Retinol and Peptides since it is made up of two pieces. The jelly-material mask is placed in its packaging with both a paper backing and a plastic sheet creating a sandwich with each mask piece in the center. You just need to take each half and place it on your face and then you get to relax for 10 minutes (or longer if you choose). The mask was easy to place on my face and the cool jelly felt damp but noticeably not overly saturated like some cotton facial masks that I have tried. When it was on, there was a slight tingle initially but it was very relaxing and calming to wear. I did notice that after 10 minutes the mask was noticeably drier. I wore it for a few more minutes and once removed I rubbed the remaining serum into my skin. The fragrance is really light and non existent once the mask was removed. The entire experience was relaxing and encouraging to take the 10 minutes to just chill. I found that using the face mask at night helped me relax and gave me a good night of sleep. My skin looked refreshed when I woke up the following morning but nothing extra special. I have had similar results when I have used competitor face masks with a lower price. It is Climate Neutral Certified and Peta Approved. The product is Made in Korea. This is a pleasant face mask but I don't see myself buying it again.
