Seems very average for a gaming laptop.
Delivery and transaction was very good. Packaging and state of computer was excellent. I'm not convinced though this is a powerful computer for the category its in. It's not bad but I have a Lenovo T430s from 2012 that is almost as good in speed of everyday computing. I am not a gamer so I was a bit surprised it did not exceed my old laptop in an obvious way. I set up windows 11 but bypassed the aggressive account log in. Not overly impressed with Windows so I dual installed Linux on it and it is much better. I had some issues with the wifi card being very new so had to install wifi drivers to get the linux os to work with wifi. After that its been very good. Only thing that I am a bit annoyed at is the fan. For normal computing, browsing internet, the fan kicks on and is very noticeable. My older laptop is quiet as a church mouse. Im almost regretting the purchase, but I know its a well built machine. I like the metal casing and build of it. I had to look up how to open it up to adjust the ram. I put in another 8gb of ram to make it 16 and had a spare hdd to put inside the extra empty slot. I like that the OS runs on the SSD and I have extra storage with the HDD. Opening the case though is not easy. Not sure why they make it difficult. My older laptop is so easy to get to the ram and hard drive. For a gamer, I would think that the computer would be more accessible for customization and tweaking. 3 stars for the experience. Not thrilled, not disappointed. Just meh...

A Solid Laptop for a Solid Price
As someone who wanted a laptop that wasn't too high-end (so I wouldn't mourn over its loss) and something that wasn't too weak, I am thoroughly satisfied with this purchase. Graduating from an ROG "ultra gamer laptop", the outer casing is such a breath of fresh air. The thing is fully enclosed with a sleek black. The only thing that offsets the darkness is the piercing red of the shield and the keyboard. This is definitely where the "less-is-better" approach shines through - I'm not ashamed to bust this laptop out in a public area. Really grateful for the design choice here. In terms of performance, I have no qualms with it. As someone who plays Rocket League, Heroes of the Storm, and Fortnite, I can run these games on medium at 100-120fps. While it does get hot, it does arguably better than my older laptop, sitting under 80C during load. If you can get to knowing how to use the gamer profiles on Dragon Center, it'll help you a TON. While the presets have their own fan curves, you can also set your own. While I'm not gaming on battery, I am still doing some creative work like Photoshop/Krita. Even then I could use it for a while before I have to plug it in - though I usually have it plugged in so I don't have much experience on this end. I can't say too much for the keyboard. This classic laptop chiclet design is a far cry from my main mechanical keyboard, but it's nothing foreign from laptops of old which I'm fine with. Bonus points to having the enter key and backslash kind of combine to look like a reverse L enter key! How charming. A word of advice? Get a USB hub. This is constantly the issue I have with laptops - they'd probably have to increase the form factor to fit in more. All in all, this is a solid machine. I'll update this in case anything breaks.

The Little Laptop That Could
Had this laptop for 2 years, it went with me as I traveled about 2-3 times per month. Overall, working great! Here's what I would summarize: (1) KEYBOARD: So-so feeling keys. Completely missing a Number Pad, which has proven VERY annoying to me, LOL. However, all keys still work & look nice, so there's that! (2) BUILD QUALITY: It's a bit flimsy, especially in the screen area. Strongly recommend you get something to place in-between keyboard & screen when closed. Very difficult & annoying to open up, no easy access to the 2nd SSD or to the upgradeable RAM slots. Still, I got into a car accident with this laptop, & after repairing the screen myself (using a $100 part & a video about the similar GF63), it was working again fairly well. So I gotta' give it that credit! (3) BATTERY: Battery life dropped significantly, even after replacing the battery... But it DID take a while, & I started running CachyOS instead of Windows on it. So that affects things! BTW, mine came with Windows 10, but was easily able to update to 11 directly in Windows. (4) USB: Ports all still working great! (5) SPEED: CPU is great, but GPU is rather old. Still, it ran No Man's Sky just fine, even on CachyOS! Struggles with Helldivers 2, though :( Worked great with more games than one would expect, LOL. (6) SOUND: Meh. Speakers are on bottom, & often very difficult to hear. Don't get it for the speakers xD All in all, it's been a good laptop, though! It survived an accident, & is still crushing it!

Great Budget Laptop
Bought this to replace the Desktop i built in 2015, so far im impressed, i recommend ordering Crucial RAM 8GB DDR4 3200MHz CL22 with it, and a ssd as space is limited, i had a 256 gig sitting around that i popped inside it. With the upgraded ram i have to say it runs most things i throw at it, games that area few years old run at a great frame rate, and more recent things like farcry 6 im getting about 40 - 55 frames, so a little subpar but definitely playable. I bought a laptop for the portability not the graphics capability so im absolutely ok with it. the one gripe i have is popping open the clamshell case to perform the ram upgrade and install the SSD was more difficult than i think it should be, it made me miss the days they left a little trapdoor port for easy access and upgrades. i got through it and got everything together but it was a frustrating experience. other than that great purchase for the budget gamer

Thin, Slim, everything in-between
Pros: • Fast gaming laptop that is lightweight and slim. • Wi-Fi 6 is nice and standard for most laptops. • Love the 144Hz refresh rate especially for playing FPS games. • Battery life is pretty long but most of the time I’d plug in if I were to game for an extended time. Con: • 8GB of RAM is probably the only con, but you can always upgrade. My Three Cents: Overall this MSI laptop is great for MOBA gaming and counter-strike. I got this laptop for my cousin but I tested it before giving it to her for graduation. She definitely loves the laptop and she would use it for her dallies. I would recommend this laptop as it is affordable and has excellent value with the specs that it came with.

An amazing, budget friendly gaming laptop.
I bought this laptop roughly a year ago, I was a little skeptical of how well it’d perform after hearing how poorly everyone talks about gaming laptops. However, that isn’t the case when it comes to this one. It has ran Valorant at anywhere from 120-200 fps, it ran Apex at 60 fps, etc. IThe battery life is not the best if you’re using it for gaming, I keep mine plugged in so it isn't that much of an issue. The only genuine downside to this laptop is the storage, they include a mount for an additional ram card so I highly recommend purchasing an extra one if you plan on having several games installed. Overall, its an excellent laptop all around and looks amazing.

Really well for average gamer
I recommend this computer to anyone who is your avid gamer. I was able to run games that were not easy to run on your typical pc. However, I will say that some of these games only work smoothly if you have the battery connected most of the time. For example, when I run the sims, it works smoothly when it's fully charged, but after it gets to 50% or less, the whole game runs so much slower. Almost like the laptop isn't a gaming laptop with good core and hz. I did research and came up with this laptop multiple times. I only really play the sims so I didn't think to get a whole pc setup, with a well working component. Either way, besides the battery drainage, it works just as intended. I was a bit disappointed about the fact that I can't really decorate the laptop since it's red and black themed already. It looks awesome, but I would've liked to decorate to whatever mood I'm in at the time I use it. Not to mention that I use this laptop for school, so it's kind of awkward having a whole gaming laptop with loud noises in the middle of class. It does get hot on the sides, so if you can afford it, definitely get a laptop cooling pad. Amazon has plenty.

Excellent Budget Gaming Laptop
I bought this because it was on sale, I play some lightweight games (Emulators, WoW) and I use AutoCAD for engineering classes. I needed something that had some "umpf". This computer is perfect for both CAD software and Video Games. The computer itself is very solid, clean and looks really cool. The screen is beautiful. I really like that the keyboard is back-lit red; I do a lot of homework late at night (I'm an expert procrastinator) and it's nice to be able to actually see the keys. It doesn't seem to have any overheating issues, I've been playing WoW off and on and the fans barely even make a sound. Very happy with this laptop! Make sure you get a good case for the thing, wouldn't want your new baby to get hurt.
