Worked to keep skin from itching/burning from sea lice
Seemed to work well to keep my boys from itching/burning feeling they tend to get when the sea lice get into their swim shorts. Also seemed to provide good sunscreen but also layered regular sunscreen over top of this product.

Excellent Reef-Safe Sunscreen
I've tried a couple of reef-safe sunscreens over the past 2 years, & been disappointed in both of them. The claims were good, but they both felt sticky & were hard to spread, left a white cast on my already fair skin, & in one case, washed off soon enough that I got a mild sunburn (luckily, on the last day of our vacation). One was marketed for babies, so I was also giving it a test-drive on myself first. But it failed the test. Given everyone's claims that weren't met, I was wondering if there actually WAS a decent sunscreen that was also coral-safe. Then I tried Safe Sea SPF50+ Kids Sunscreen! Thrilled is an understatement. It comes out of the tube white & fairly thick, so I was wary. But no! It's easy to spread (key for putting on kids), & once on, it's clear! And altho it leaves a sheen, it feels moisturizing, not sticky (& the sheen lets you know if you've missed a spot). The scent is mild & pleasant, not heavy coconut like many. The only downside is that it's pricey ~ $16.50 / 3.4 oz tube as of Feb 2024. I love knowing that I can do the right thing w/o compromising on how my sunscreen looks/feels/protects my skin. I have no idea if there were sea lice where we were (I'd never heard of that), but if there were, this sunscreen protected us from that, too. Highly recommend!

Good quality sea safe sunscreen
I like this sunscreen, it did work quite well even though my husband did get stung by a jellyfish but the sting did not hurt as bad as with out the use of the sunscreen so I do recommend.

Worked great, but I have advice for you
I'd never even seen live jellyfish when I bought this a couple of years ago, but I'd heard horror stories and it was light, so I kept it in a beach back just in case. We got off a Virgin ship in Bimini on a miserable August day last year to find the near boiling water thick with millions of jellyfish. I mean so thick no one could move without getting touched. There was nowhere to escape the heat of that day, but hot water is still better than hot sand, so we got in. I'd covered every exposed inch of my body in a thin layer of this stuff (over clear zinc) and it worked!! Nowhere that I rubbed it got stung! BUT I hadn't put it UNDER my bathing suit. After taking a couple fierce tentacles to the rear I was done with the beach. If in a heavy jellyfish area coat your WHOLE body, not just where the sun hits. I was still very impressed that I came out relatively unscathed when I could feel tentacles rubbing all over my arms and legs.

Safe reef sunscreen
Perfect! I used it for myself and didn't burn on a 109 degree day on the boat. Also didn't get stung by jellyfish!

Fair price and reef safe
I got this for a trip to Hawaii and used it for my face. I have very sensitive skin on my face and tried it out ahead of time and had no reaction at all which was great. It stayed on for hours of in and out of the water and did its job. No sunburned forehead or nose for me

Fragranced and expensive
I got this because of the claim on sensitive skin. However, this has a pretty strong fragrance to it. So, if your littles are eczema prone, be advised. It's also VERY expensive for a little tube ($16 bucks at time of review).I used on myself just to test it for the review (didn't want to risk a rash on my littles) and I was fine with it and it did protect. However, for the price, I wouldn't get this over mustela, unless I was in particular need of reef friendly sunscreen.
