This is an ok belt, but not what I thought it would be. First impression upon opening the envelope was "Damn it's small!" After tearing through the numerous layers of tape and plastic in an attempt to get to the canvas bag, I finally get it open to see it's all coiled up. I get it untied and roll it out to a really super soft leather belt. I looks nice, the buckle is really nice, but it apparently runs large? I ordered a 36" assuming it would be two sizes smaller than a previous belt I had ordered in 38", but it's the same size. With it being really soft leather, my concern is it stretching a lot with daily wear hence ordering a smaller belt so I would have a few holes left to use as it stretched and I fluctuate in weight/size from summer to winter (We all eat a lot during the holidays lol). I'll keep it and wear it with snugger fitting pants as It is a really nice belt, just thought the size ran true and was of a stiffer, thicker leather.

The belt has deformed overt the year I have worn it, making it uncomfortable and harder to put on. I need a new belt now.

Edit: After having purchased two of these, I think I finally figured out the sizing. Take your waist size, add two inches, and pick whatever size has that number in the middle column. These belts are sized so that the belt size is named by its "tightest fit," rather than the "middle fit." I am at a 34" pant size now, and bought a 30" belt. I have to use the largest notch on this belt, which according to the chart is a 36" hole size. If I had bought a size 32", with a "middle fit" of 36 (34+2), I would have had some wiggle room on either side. I wear size 36 pants, and bought the size 36 belt. I have to use the smallest notch to get a snug fit, and will have to punch a hole if I loose any more weight. My understanding is that you normally add two inches to your pant size to get your belt size, and that the belt will have notches on either side of its true size to accommodate for size changes. That means I should have bought a 38" belt, which in this brand would have been way too big for me. Their website seems to suggest that size 32 would be the right one for a 36" waist to hit the middle notch. 4" less than my waist size? I'm not sure what's going on there, but I am otherwise very happy with the quality of the belt.

Many of the reviews on here give examples of what size of belt you need versus your pants size. Some reference a table that is completely invalid. I purchased my belt in January 2024. My pant size is a 34 waist. I ordered a 32 belt based on the reviews and the belt table. The belt would not even fit in the buckle. It was too short I returned the belt and ordered a 36 inch which is standard taking your average waist and adding 2 inches 34+2 equal 36 perfect fit I told Amazon about the table that is misleading people whether or not it’s corrected I do not know. But the simple fact is use the same common sense you would have buying any belt just adding 2 inches to your pant size.
