MUCH better than silicone scrubbers!
I have medium/high-density hair that is very fine. I've tried the silicone-tipped scrubbers and they can't get through my hair to my scalp. This scrubber brush is amazing for detangling, scalp massage, hair oiling, and shampooing. It is lightweight, easy to hold, and easy to clean. It's a few dollars more than other options, but worth the extra cost. I'm buying a second brush so that I can leave one in my shower and keep another in my nightstand for detangling and scalp massage before bed.

GREAT scalp brush!!!!!
GREAT shampoo brush that we use to scalp treat our scalps with tea tree & peppermint essential oil, as well as rosehip seed oil, jojoba oil, etc. It really helps loosen dry scalp flakes and & work the EOS & / or oil into our scalps without scratching our heads raw. Even my VERY tenderheaded child does not complain, which is surprising because she complains about almost every brush. The bristles are DURABLE, yet NOT so sharp that they will draw blood (maybe they would if you really tried, but with normal to firm pressure they will NOT). They do a FABULOUS job of refreshing the scalp!! So far the handle is DURABLE too, unlike a few scalp brushes I had to return because they were so flimsy & stupidly sharp.. NOT this brush though.. it's PERFECT!!My father has been using Denman brushes for years & years, which is why I decided to try this scalp brush & pay a little more than some of the cheap-o Chinese junk brushes. I am SO glad I did!! The QUALITY matches their HIGH QUALITY hair brushes.I WOULD purchase this brush again!!

Worth the hype
Included are one before photo (in the coat with the frizz) and one after photo (with the curls and the joy). This brush is made of soft and flexible plastic that conforms to the shape of my hand. I have rather small hands, and I find it fits best if I slip my pinkie out of the handle and control the pressure with my thumb on the opposite side of the brush. Larger hands may find it more comfortable having their pinkie and their index finger outside the handle. It feels SO GOOD on my scalp. I don't know how much truth there is behind 'scalp massages really make your hair grow faster and thicker', I haven't looked into the science, and am still a little skeptical, but oh my gosh does it feel good. It feels so good.I had no idea how many LAYERS my hair had. I also had no idea how THIRSTY my hair was; I went through half a 1.5 liter spray bottle and still had a lot of dry patches while I was detangling for the first time.I don't use any products yet but if you only get to choose one (1) item to begin your hair repair journey with, this should be it.

For this shape of the brush, glue the handle down. Otherwise, it's perfect.
I would suggest you use E6000 or Gorilla Glue on the handle, because at some point, the cones holding it will pop out.I bought this brush though because my fellow thick-haired friend suggested it and this model was the cheapest one. The actual brush itself is perfect. Idk what in the world it is but it takes every strand of this 4C mop and turns it into a smooth, wavy ribbon. That is the best way I can describe it, and the most accurate. It's so much easier for me to twist my hair when I use these Denman brushes so I went ahead and bought a D14 with an actual stick on it a few weeks ago for $16 from their website.

My kids asked for their own!
Had to purchase another one of these after my kids used my husband's and demanded their own. Works great as a brush for short hair and scalp massager for longer hair.

Hard -Cheap Plastic- Works
This shampoo brush does what its supposed to : get shampoo to your scalp / massage it into scalp. But in terms of quality, I can't say it feels well made. Plastic is cheap and thin especially at handle. It kind of feels like one of those barbie brushes but human size LOL . Also the term "massage" would lead one to believe it is soothing but honestly feels stiff and a little hard on my scalp. With that being said for a utility item it is adequate. In terms of pricing I think it is over priced at $5 due to the thin cheap plastic feel. But it has made my scalp feel better and ultimately my hair is better for it

Not for dry curly hair
This product is not suitable for dry curly hair unless you want to disrupt the curl pattern and have your hair be frizzy. I know that this is obvious, but I read somewhere that this was an excellent tool for curly girls at the gym. Not so much. However, it brushed through my very thick, curly hair without snagging or pulling, so... its still a good tool.

Do my pets love these?
I use these mini currycombs exclusively for my pets, anything with fur :) I've sent them to many friends and they've been amazed at the amount of hair that gets brushed out AND how much their furrbabies love these things! Best pet brush I've ever had. I wish I had a video, but I use both hands to brush them!
