MunchkinBaby Gate Extension, White, 11", Model MK0081

We had an odd sized hallway that needed a couple extra inches for the munchkin gate to fit, this fit perfectly and wasn’t hard to fit into the existing gate. Super sturdy too, my toddler slams his giant dump truck into it and it stays in place.

I purchased a baby gate to keep my dogs from going downstairs. My stairs are a bit wider, so I bought two of the extensions. They fit perfectly, the gate works like a dream

Almost perfect. My daughter has caused it to bow in a little where its attached. Nothing that repositioning wouldn't fix, I just wish it wasnt possible for her to have caused the bow in the first place.

Item as pictured, and works with my Munchkin baby gate. It includes two plastic adapters (one for the top, and one for the bottom) to extend the gate (see my photo).Note that the top horizontal bar on the extension kit is SQUARE shaped (see photo); whereas the top and bottom horizontal bars on the Munchkin gate are both larger rectangles and the inserts require a larger rectangle shaped bar. To compensate for the size difference, the extension kit includes one plastic adapter to convert a large rectangle on the baby gate, to the small square on the adapter. The second plastic adapter is a rectangle to rectangle for the bottom bar. There is no square to square adapter; therefore, it is not physically possible to connect a 5.5" extension to a second 5.5" extension. That is fine with me, but if you bought two of these extensions, note that you would have to use one 5.5" extension on each side of the gate to use both extensions (with no possibility of further extensions). So my advice is that if you're going to buy two extension kits, keep in mind that if the top horizontal bar on the extension kit is square shaped, you won't be able to connect it to a second extension kit that also has a square shaped horizontal bar on the top.

I ended up not using this because the area we needed to use it was still too big, however you could easily just slide it right into the gate we had - great product.

With the baby gate and wall protectors arrived simultaneously. The gate was easy to install and of the protectors kept me from marring the varnished oak trim around the door. The gate easily corralles three full-sized Labrador retrievers, yet is easy for the bipeds to walk from the kitchen into the rest of the house. I would recommend this gate to a friend for either child safety or to corral animals.

This extension is a tight fitting piece that helps widen your Munchkin baby gate. We've have TWO Munchkin baby gates with extensions because they are just that good. We always seem to put our baby gates in naturally wide areas, like staircases and hallways. This extension gives our gate just the boost it needs to fit in those wider areas!

Didn’t quite fit our older model (MCKST-2083) but I made it work with a combination of extreme stubbornness and a hammer. Some of the plastic on the piece that holds the extension to the gate was scraped off but it seems very secure now. I probably wouldn’t use it as a main gate at the top of the stairs but it’ll work for our purposes.Our model is the same height as the models this is made for but I think it’s older so the other extension we already had looks quite different.
