Very useful for a little one especially on the go. If your baby is drinking from a sippy cup then they will most likely be able to drink from this just fine. It attaches to most brands of water bottles, but it will not fit the Great Value (Walmart brand) bottles. The Spouts are smaller on that particular brand. Otherwise, It seems to fit most of the other brands. Also It is leak proof and easy to clean. Hope this Helps!

Very happy with this product! I was curious about it for some time, & held off on ordering due to inconsistent reviews. I am so glad I finally did order! This is an excellent product! My 2yo is the user, he initially did not take to it. We'd already transitioned to straw cups & hard top sippy cups. After a few days he took to it & wanted his water bottle. I always have water bottles with me for my use & many times wanted to give him a sip, but I know how he'll tip the bottle & dump most of it all over himself. This is wonderful! So easy to use, & fits my Crystal Geyser water bottles perfectly (I am noting brand because I wanted to know this before I ordered - so anyone else who loves only this brand of water can make note that it fits these water bottles). I wish I'd ordered 2 originally because this is so handy, I'd like one in my diaper backpack for emergencies. I leave one with him at daycare each day, makes toting to/from daycare easier. I can just give him a tiny water bottle with this lid. The only slightly negative is that due to suction your bottle will begin to collapse; although this is probably the only way to make this spill proof, I'm not entirely sure this could be resolved. Overall, I am still extremely satisfied & would highly recommend this. When the bottle begins collapsing I just have my son hand it to me, untwist the cap & open, blow some air into the bottle & it expands. I use the very small bottles that are 6 oz. I believe; these caps also work very well on Kirkland (Costco brand) small water bottles. I actually think this would be a great baby shower gift; I love to give away my favorite products at baby showers.

Doesn't fit water bottles

We liked these initially for use with our son as he was stepping up from using a bottle to a sippy cup, but we found a few flaws. One: once you do screw it onto a regular (let's say water) bottle, the child has to use a lot of sucking power after a few draws of the liquid. The cap doesn't allow for re-inflation of the bottle, which makes it difficult for the child's drink to move easily into the mouth after a few sips. After a while, we found our little guy had to squeeze the bottle to get the water to come out of the spout. My husband and I recommend that if you're planning to use this, to make sure to let the air into the bottle after a few sips. It's a bit annoying, but the tip does allow your kid some freedom with regular plastic bottles without all the spillage. They've also held up well against the dishwasher, time, and wear.

(New edits added to "COMPATIBLE" section below.) Sometimes I forget to pack the baby's one and only sippy cup. This 3-piece water bottle cap adapter works well, but yes, I agree that it doesn't have a vent so as the baby drinks from the water bottle through this adapter, the plastic walls of the bottle collapse. Every 4-5 sips, I take the bottle away from the baby, unscrew the adapter, let the air fill up the bottle again, and then hand the whole thing back to the baby. Small inconvenience, but an inconvenience nonetheless. Thus, 4 stars. That drawback aside, there are plenty of benefits: 1. COVER EXISTS! It DOES have a clear cap that snaps over the spout! (At least, mine does! I did wonder why previous customers didn't get their caps...) 2. PORTABLE! It's small enough to keep in a pocket, purse, pacifier bag... even a Gladware 1/2-cup mini round storage container (the kind you can find at a supermarket or Amazon, 8 units per pack [...]). Yes, a sandwich bag will also do in a pinch. 3. EASY TO CLEAN! Each piece -- silicone spout, green "neck" and clear cap -- are extremely easy to handwash using the smaller nipple brush attachments that most people have. If water's the only thing that you use it for, there's less of a worry about scrubbing off juice bits. 4. COMPATIBLE! For Poland Spring bottles, the adapter works if the green "neck" is screwed with the logo upside down. Although the directions do say this clearly, I'd say it here too: If the adapter doesn't work with the particular water bottle you have, try re-inserting the spout through the green neck but in the opposite direction so that the logo on the green neck appears upside down. The green "neck" is threaded on both ends, expanding its compatibility with a range of water bottles. EDIT Oct. 2011: Compatible with the Platypus Platy Soft Bottle with Closure Cap. This product combo has proven to be a very convenient way to carry baby's drinking water. 5. CHEWABLE! My baby likes chewing thoughtfully on the silicone spout between sips. No damage yet, to baby or bottle cap adapter. But I'm sure Green Sprouts will warn against treating this adapter as a toy. It's not a toy, okay? 6. NO LEAKS! If the adapter is screwed on correctly for the water bottle you have (and assuming the two are compatible), turning the water bottle upside down does not create a shower. If anything, it's hard to get liquid out... see drawback above.

***UPDATE*** I love this so much that i just purchased another one. This is by far the best water bottle top. My 8 month old wants to drink from my water bottle all the time so I bought this. I was skeptical due to reading that it only fits certain bottles, but I've tried it on so many and works just fine. I have this on the Costco brand water bottle as that's what we buy often. I just ordered a second one as back up. I recommend this product to anyone! As you read in other posts, if you flip the nipple part around, it fits other sizes. Also, I took the round seal off the water bottle for a tighter fit. The part that seals the lid to the water bottle...the ring part left over, I took that off so it seals tighter. You don't have to, but I did. *I hope my review was helpful for you!

Needed something to throw in my purse for when I have those mom moments and forget to bring a specific cup for baby, I can give him any water bottle using this! If it doesn’t fit the bottle take the nipple off and put it in facing the other way and it fits more bottles! Definitely buy it!

Perfecto para darle de tomar a un menor que aún no sabe usar bien botellas o vasos. Su boquilla con dos medidas lo hace ajustable a cualquier tipo de botella. Excelente opción para cuando estás fuera de casa.

Lo compré con mucho entusiasmo y al principio no lo usé correctamente por lo que tuvo fuga, le di la vuelta al adaptador y funcionó correctamente!!! Estoy muy muy contenta

My sister would always be out walking the baby and want to give him a sip of her water this solves the problem by screwing on to any regular water bottle. She hasn't had any problems with, great product at a great price not much more you can ask.
