Seems to be a high quality, palatable diet.
We had been feeding another brand of grain free dog food to our dogs for several years, when one of them suddenly decided he didn't like it anymore and refused to eat it (the other two still liked it just fine). I found this brand when doing some research (tried several different brands) and this one my finicky dog loves. The individual kibbles of the Salcha Poulet formula are on the small side. Annamaet foods also have high ratings from customers on a variety of commercial sites, as well as on Dog Food Advisor. We have 3 small dogs (each 15 pounds or less) eating it daily and so far, so good.

Lots of proteins, resealable bag, and the dog loved it
Annamaet Grain-Free Salcha Poulet Formula Dry Dog Food, (Chicken & Duck)The grain-free dog food comes economically packaged in a resealable, metallic, and plastic bag. The kibbles themselves are very small, about the size of your fingertip, but my dog really didn't care what size they were. Were. I like that there is a lot of good protein in this for her, in fact, the first ingredient on the list of ingredients is chicken meal, followed by lentils and duck meal. After that is a whole bunch. Bunch more vegetables and words that I can't pronounce. But according to the label, this does have 30% crude protein, so that's pretty good stuff. I think the dogs eating better than I am with this!

My little yorkipoo has a very sensitive stomach and she can be a picky eater. She loves this poultry flavor and the food is 100% agreeable with her.

This was an absolute hit with both dogs; be careful of a grain-free daily feeding
I got this for my friend's two dogs to supplement with their other food. This was a hit with both of them. They absolutely loved it and kept coming back for more. They are spoiled by being hand fed (see photos). The kibble is dark-colored and round. The first several ingredients are Chicken Meal,Lentils, Duck Meal, Field Peas, Chickpeas, Chicken Fat(preserved withMixed Tocopherols), Tapioca, Salmon Meal, Menhaden Oil (Preserved withMixed Tocopherols), Flax Seed Meal, Canola Oil, Dried Apples, NaturalFlavor, Marine Microalgae, Dried Chicory Root, Lecithin, Dried Blueberries,Dried Cranberries, Salt, DL Methionine, L-Lysine, Taurine, Calcium Carbonate, Lactobacillus Acidophilus Fermentation Product Dehydrated, VitaminE Supplement, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (source of Vitamin C), NiacinSupplement, Biotin, Thiamine Mononitrate L-Carnitine, etc.The ingredients are okay except for the peas and lentils. Note that unless a dog has a grain allergy, it is not a good idea to feed them grain-free foods exclusively. The reason is that vets are finding an association between heart disease (such as canine dilated cardiomyopathy) and grain-free dog foods. This disease is mostly associated with the foods that have peas, lentils, other legumes or potatoes as their main ingredients and this food has two of those. Nevertheless, I feel it is okay to feed this food to a dog only to supplement a dog's diet and not as an exclusive meal every day of their life.I love that the bag has a strong Velcro closure to keep this fresh. The current price of $14.23 is competitively priced for a five-pound bag of this type of food. In summary, this got an enthusiastic thumbs up from both dogs.

Better price than the Sustain. Similarly great ingredients. Grain free, high protein.
I've used the Sustain formula and my Great Pyrenees' loved it. I wanted to give another formula a chance since my two have such sensitive skin issues. I worked with a vet and they believed it was food allergies, especially since they were littermates and both were having the same issue.Right out of the bag, my big boy and girl were excited at the smell. They were ready to snag the bag out of my hands and gobble it up. I really didn't need to do a food mix to get them used to the new food. I did end up mixing it just in case they had stomach issues, but no stool or stomach issues at all. Sybil and Rhoderick thought this was excellent. I can't comment on the taste, as I didn't try it, haha. It's a solid formula and free of the major allergens. No soy, corn, or wheat in this formula. It does have legumes, but my omnivorous crew thought it was great. The higher protein in this at 30% is great. It's not as high as the Sustain at 33%, but for sensitive stomach feed 30% is pretty good. It also has real ingredients I can understand.First Ingredients: chicken meal, lentils, duck meal, field peas, chicken fat, tapioca, salmon meal, and flax. There are other ingredients listed, but the first ingredients have real meat products which I always love to see.The coats on my two are still looking great and I haven't seen much digging. I'll update if they start getting the itchy or scaling again but the sensitive formula and high protein seems to have been the real trick for us.
