This is a very reliable product, easy to set up. The fans can be separated from their frame to reverse their direction to push or pull air as needed. You can use the control buttons to configure this system in many ways to suit different scenarios. It includes a printed colour manual that is easy to read. I am using it to cool an AV rack housed in a cupboard. I set it to adjust fan speed based on temperature, and to beep if it exceeds a specific temperature. The power adaptor included in the box has a US plug.

This is a well built and designed product, easy to fit with the included plastic templates for the fans and controller. As expected though, the fans are relatively noisy. It’s not a surprise at this price point as a pair of decent fans are half the cost of this unit. I wish manufacturers would sell these without fans so you can supply your own. I ended up buying 2x Noctua NF-A12x25 5V. It’s important you get the 5V version and non PWM. With these fitted, noise levels were dramatically decreased. I measured before and after with the dB meter on top of the cabinet the fans were in. Ambient noise level 35.4 dBA Old fans: Min speed - 38.4 dBA Max speed - 46 dBA Noctua fans: Min speed - 35.4 dBA Max speed - 45.3 dBA As you can see the Noctua fans are inaudible at the lowest speed. It’s also worth noting that the noise is a different tone that is easy to ignore, as opposed to the higher pitched tones present on the standard fans. The Noctua fans spin faster at the max setting, so this accounts for the noise levels being closer to the standard fans, even so, they’re still quieter and it’s unlikely you’d want, or need those speeds, without some serious heat issues anyway. I’d recommend the installation of fine mesh filters to stop the dust affecting the fans and the inlet sucking dust into your cabinet. When the fans are off there is a high pitched tone from the power supply but I can’t hear this when behind the cabinet. Worth noting though if you have this plugged in somewhere close and exposed. Edit: The power supply actually died after a couple of weeks, which accounts for the high pitched tone. AC Infinity is a US company. Their website doesn't actually list these as having the option for a UK plug, but it was labelled AC infinity. Rather than having to remove everything from my cabinet and send back, I sourced a better quality, identical spec power supply locally. For reference you would need a 2A (or higher) 6.5V (7V Max according to specs) AC adapter with a 2.1mm x 5.5mm jack. Since fitting the new one it has been absolutely fine. I may have just got unlucky, but worth factoring in. In conclusion your money is buying a good looking frame, great installation instructions with plastic templates and a quality fan controller. In my mind this is still worth the purchase cost, just factor in that you may want to replace the fans and need to replace the ac adapter.

I have a cabinet with a few servers, gaming consoles, switches & security equipment. Purchased this product to cool the cabinet. Works extremely well & works when tempreture is high & cuts off when cabinet cools down. Have used for over 12 months.

We use it to make sure our counter top pebble ice machine doesn’t overheat in a cabinet. and it’s done a great job!

I just purchased a new media cabinet to clean up the look of my audio visual gear and I noticed that my Marantz SR5012 receiver was getting extremely hot. I used a laser thermometer and it was at 120 degrees inside the cabinet. This is extremely hot and very bad for your A/V Receiver circuitry. I did some research and learned that the HDMI circuit board is on the top of the A/V Receivers and is normally the first component to go out due to over heating. I just purchased this receiver a few months ago because my old marantz HDMI output quit working. I had a similar issue before the Marantz with a Yamaha receiver. I previously owned two identical Marantz receivers (one in a cabinet with the back open and one on an open shelf). The Marantz in the cabinet is the one that ended up with a bad HDMI port. I understand that I had some major heat issues to contend with and did a bunch of research reading reviews and watching YouTube reviews. I determined that the AC Infinity line was the best and most cost effective option for me. I installed an Airplane T8 (White) system and now the system stays around 70-83 degrees. My ambient temperature my home is between 72-75 degrees all year round. The T8 system consists of 2 x 120mm (6") fans with grills and a smart controller. There is a less expensive thermal probe by AC Infinity that allows you to pick one of four temperature settings, but this option gives you much more control. This is the only white version that AC Infinity sells. They do sell a few white grills, but this kit is the best bang for buck as you would have to spend $99 for the black version and then spend an additional $36 to purchase 2 white grills and a white bezel for the controller. I also purchased a number of ther AC Infinity fans to include the S2 and the S3 and the Aircom T8 unit that sets on top of the receiver and I liked this the best as it provided the best cooling option. I liked it so much that I just ordered another T8 system in black for my other room.
