Fast speeds (both laptop and delivery!)
So far I’ve had this one day. Delivered a day early which surprised me (next day delivery!). As others have mentioned this was packed incredibly well. Total of 3 boxes and the inner box had the extra padding and cushioning to protect my new baby.Pros:Balanced price and performance (17 inch, 64 ram, 2Tb ssd, 3060, i7-11800h) not the top of the line but ready to handle current and future needs.Design- grey/blue color. simple logo and lines with rgb lights for flash and color. Not obnoxious but not totally plain Jane.Cons:bloatware was minimal but there (Norton, and something else deleted already)Couldn’t easily find volume keys. After charging and returning after work, finally turned on to begin setup. Cortana voice AI loudly greeted me and scared my cat.Fingerprint smudges on inside of keyboard (but not monitor!) where I’m sure they made the requested upgrades.Do you see what I’m getting at? I’m having to nitpick to find any faults - so minimal that I would totally buy from the store again (Issaquah Highlands Tech). Yes seal was broken but as they specified in description it is to do the upgrade and warranty still applies as authorized plus addtl from seller store for the upgraded items. It’s my first msi but doubt will be my last.Adding obligatory will update after additional time. And after upgrading to windows 11. 2/21/202301/07/2024Wow almost a full year. Still works great. Use it for work and play. I did need to get a laptop cooler. I found the fans too noisy and I am always a bit paranoid about over heating. Finding a cooler at the time they would fit 17inches was a problem. Seems they more options are available now. The one I got was highly rated for sound and since then no spikes in fan sound or temps even when working with multiple apps at same time.I rarely use just the laptop by itself. Has a beautiful screen. But I’m just old enough to want a bigger view. It easily handles 2 external monitors. The drawback I have found are number and variety of ports. My previous desktop dell alienware which had plenty but died just past warranty, had plenty of usbc and hdmi plus display ports to use. I’d purchased several accessories that utilized those instead of usba so had to buy an adapter hub to help. It’s worked. But I dislike the extra cords and wires.Would I still buy this? Definitely yes.I would have spent extra though on a multiport hub. Currently shopping for an upgrade there.

Oh Wow! What a Killer Machine
I'd seen one of these on that auction site that starts with "E" and it was $500 more, had half the RAM and half the SSD capacity. So I tacked on a four year protection plan and Affirm financed the whole deal. $300 down and $166/month...Yes Please. This machine is BLAZING fast! It has the latest in WiFi protocol which makes my Starlink seem faster. Installed World of Tanks and the game was just super slick. Awesome Graphics. Game play is incredibly fast.Running multiple programs at the same time on this laptop: Cake. The speakers sound fantastic. This think has woofers in it. Keyboard is very nice to work with. I do not hear any fan noise, at all. She runs nice and cool and this is a SERIOUS PC. The best PC I've ever owned. I knew it was going to cost some major cash and I'm okay with that. When it comes to quality, I don't mind paying a good price. The case is really smooth. Matte finish so that you don't leave fingerprints all over the case.I love how big this laptop is. My hands are huge and this MSI just feels comfortable to me. Power to spare. The price is unbeatable and for a purchase like this, I always buy the extra protection. She was ready to roll right out of the box. Did the upgrade to Windows 11. The packing is that stiff styrofoam that completely surrounds the machine. It was double boxed with a cloth black back along with a micro fiber cloth that is packed between the display and the upper deck of the machine. I chose MSI because of their reputation and the consistently high reviews. This PC will give me plenty of performance and I believe it will last longer than any other brand.Yes, this is a major purchase. More so for most people. Whatever I do, I always look for Value. Value is spending good money on something that will last and will perform better than my expectations. I've had many different PC's. In fact, I've been doing this since the Z80 processor came out in 1978. I've been through the whole process from DOS and Basic all the way to today and this MSI is hands down, the best Gaming Laptop at this price point. Yes, there are machines out there that cost in excess of $5000 to $8000 but for the level of my needs, this Laptop gives me all that I need and more of what I want.

Junk - Not sold directly from MSI
Something that was not communicated on this product that is an important thing to communicate: if the RAM is more than 16gb, it is an aftermarket upgrade by the seller, who is not MSI, which has made the device virtually unusableI constantly get BSOD. I’m past 30 days so I can’t return it. Now I’m stuck with a unworkable $1,500 piece of junk. Based on the research I’ve done, and other reviews, this is a common issue with 3rd parties upgrading RAM. The device gets absolutely overworked over nothing and overheats and shuts down as well. Even playing something as simple as chess on chess.com for 2 hours overheats the device and causes shutdown, with absolutely zero other programs running in the background. A task so simple a 2003 PC held together by scotch tape and melted crayons running on windows 98 could perform with zero issues. Before you wonder, I’ve updated every driver, app, and software imaginable to ensure everything is up-to-date and I’m still having issues. So you spend $1,500 expecting a brand new device from the factory, as it is portrayed in the post, but you can clearly see the factory seal on the back has already been opened where they “upgraded” and consequently caused a number of different issues. This is borderline a scam
