This is a neat little kit for testing materials in your home for Asbestos. Instructions are simple, but clear and all the necessary items you'll need (excluding tools to take samples) are included within the box. - Sample Bag - Gloves - Shipping label - Instructions (read these carefully) Make sure to take clear notes from your online account set-up so that you can include that within package when you post it. Also, follow their recommendations for taking a sample - they list what size you should try to provide and what sample types they CANNOT test. I received confirmation once the package was received (via email) and then again (4 days later) when the testing results were available. All in all, this kit is a fair deal for DIY testing. It delivers as advertised. Still, if you are doing a larger project with multiple material samples, I would still recommend contracting a professionally certified environmental consultant to take your samples and facilitate the testing.

Being unsure how to handle two samples, I emailed the company prior to purchasing the kit. I received a prompt email reply answering my question (more on this in a bit). After buying the kit, I was pleased to find an extra bag inside the kit, although I could easily have used a regular ziploc bag for my second sample. Instructions for gathering the sample were clear, although they could have put more emphasis on soaking the sample in water prior to gathering it to cut down any dust from that process. Per the instructions, I signed up online, added appropriate labeling to both bags and filled out the included form, boxed it up and returned it via UPS using their pre-printed shipping label. After a couple of days, I received an email with an alert that I had two samples and asking me to call them or use their website to purchase a second test ($15). I used the website, and shortly received another email stating that my samples would be tested, with the results ready in a week (I got the 5 business day test). Even with a holiday included, I got my results back in 5 total days (2 or 3 business days, depending on observance of the holiday). The report clearly stated that one sample included asbestos in both the floor tile and mastic, while the other test did not contain asbestos. The only surprise I've had through this entire process is how easy and consumer friendly the whole thing was. I would use and recommend this kit over and over again. 5 stars all the way.

Excellent laboratory services. Received results within the 5 business days promised after they received my samples. It was easy to follow their directions. I was easily able to add (purchase) an additional test on their website for a second type of material I found in my attic and mail it in the same package. I’m grateful for the peace of mind they provided at a reasonable price too.

The process was simple and affordable. I am satisfied with my positive results and now I know how to proceed. Worth the piece of mind in my opinion.

I had a great experience with this test kit. I sent in a sample that was two layers of linoleum glued together. I was expecting to get a single result of either negative or positive for asbestos. Instead I got a result for each layer: the top linoleum layer, the first glue layer, the second linoleum layer, and the second glue layer. It was very helpful and turned out only the second linoleum layer tested for asbestos (which they provided the composition percent). Results were fast. I will definitely use this test kit again.

I wanted to remove my popcorn ceilings, but I needed to know if I could tackle this project safely myself. I was hoping I didn't have to hire a specialized company to do the job, since this would be a very expensive undertaking. I decided to look for a do-it-yourself test kit, and after looking at various kits, I ultimately decided on this one, mainly because it included a postage-paid return label. I wanted something I could just put out in the mailbox and not have to go to the post office. The kit was simple to use with easy to follow instructions. I received the results on the promised day and was happy to learn my ceilings are asbestos free and I can safely do the removal myself.

I'm not sure how but apparently this product was purchased and resold not by the company stated. When I went to submit my sample and called the company they told me that they would definitely process this plsample but it was not lawfully sold. I am impressed with the original company and would have recieved 5 stars. They fixed the issue right away and put a rush on my sample test.

It was very straight forward. I just had to scrape off a 2" x 2" square area into a supplied bag, much like a sandwich bag. In my case I had two areas I wanted sampled and all I had to do was go online and pay $25 to include a second sample and clearly mark them 1 and 2. Received the results exactly when they said I would.

The kit arrived quickly with everything included, and the instructions were incredibly easy to follow. Having the return shipping packaging included was fantastic. We got our results in less than the promised 5 days business days, and the report was detailed and easy to read. Highly recommend this product!

Not suitable for Canada. I received the package, sent back the sample as directed with the return label that comes with the Kit. I then got a message from the laboratory saying the kit doesn’t have the necessary documents for the package to make it through customs because it is coming from Canada. I do not recommend this product if you live in Canada

Sample never made it to the lab. No feedback on the status. Wasted time and $$
