Stoelting's Anesthesia and Co-Existing Disease 7th Edition

Every patient you encounter is going to have some pre-existing baggage. You might as well have a book that teaches you to assume this, and more importantly, how to deal with it. An absolute goldmine.

I first purchased Stoelting in 1984. It was a tremendous resource during my residency. I just bought this latest edition, 33 years along in my career. It is an extremely useful compilation of pathophysiology, pharmacology and perioperative management. I highly recommend this text whether you are in training or actively practicing in the field.

Fantastic resource for any anesthesia provider. Provides succinct explanations on many physiologic alterations and their anesthetic considerations.

Excellent resource. Everyone in Anesthesia needs one. My other was 15 yrs old. Decided I needed an updated version.
