Serving Recommendation | Preparation and usage -No need to peel here! Simply chop, crush and smash as desired, before cooking. - Delicious roasted, fried or simply steamed. - Use to form a classic base flavour for soups, casseroles, stir fry's and pasta sauces. - Why not try slicing thinly and frying over a medium heat in butter to toast the flakes. Serve over a warm salad of purple sprouting broccoli, chard and new potaotes, with toasted pine nuts and a classic vinaigrette. Recipe Suggestion: Try this French classic for a real show stopper of a dinner. Chicken with 40 cloves of garlic 1. In a large casserole dish set over a medium heat, season and brown 8 skin on chicken thighs in a generous amount of olive oil and butter. 2. Turn off the heat, remove the chicken and set to one side (please note the chicken is not cooked at this point so treat it as raw and wash hands, utensils, worktops etc.) 3. Take your 40 cloves of garlic (1.5-2 packs); put half the garlic cloves in the bottom of the dish, return the chicken, arranging in one layer, skin side up and add the remaining garlic and any juices from the chicken. Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves and add a small glug of white wine. 4. Put the lid on the casserole dish and put in a preheated oven at 180°C. Cook for 45-60 minutes, basting half way through, until the chicken is cooked through. 5. Remove the chicken from the dish with a slotted spoon, cover with foil and rest for 10 mins. 6. The chicken can simply be served with the juices and garlic cloves as they are; or you can gently heat the juices, smash some of the garlic cloves to thicken and add 500ml of fresh chicken stock and seasoning as required, bringing it to a simmer and reducing slightly to make a more gravy like sauce. Delicious served with buttered new potatoes and seasonal greens. |

Will definitely purchase again
I thought I’d try this not because I’m lazy but because I can’t get out to the shops so have to order online and I tend to get sent old garlic that is only fit for the bin. Yes it is expensive but if I add up all the 75p’s I’ve wasted on garlic bulbs that arrive inedible plus all the dishes I’ve had to make without garlic because it’s gone in the bin then this is definitely an improvement. It’s really good. Obviously it’s much quicker to prepare because you’re not having to peel it but it hasn’t lost its flavour at all which was a concern when I was thinking about buying it. I was really happy doing my batch cooking yesterday and all my dishes turned out lovely and garlic-y like I’d hoped. I have frozen the rest to use in future. I would highly recommend this product.

I always forget to buy garlic when im doing roasts, keeping this in the freezer means I always have it on me . Had nice bite when thawed. I rate it

Made the cooking faster and easier. Every time i needed fresh garlic I used to wear gloves to peel it and it took time, this is ready to use and they taste fresh and good. But it can be cheaper than that

Jam
I make a chilli jam and the worst job WAS peeling garlic. This product has saved my time plus so fresh. Any cloves left,I just cover in olive oil for next jam and the added bonus of having garlic oil

Great item, easy to use. Just wish there was less in the bag.
The product is very good. Wish that they only put half the amount in the packet as it goes bad quickly. Would be good for a big family or someone who cooks with garlic every day.

Great for us lazy/busy people
I like to use garlic in cooking.I don’t seem to have the dexterity to peel my own garlic now and a garlic crusher is a thing of the past.So this is perfect.Don’t know how long it lasts once opened as I use quite a lot.
