Love this knife
One of my favorite pocket knives. I keep buying this same knife when I lose the one I have.

I love my Kershaw Pub
I love my Kershaw Pub. I need my EDC to do more than cut so I tend to gravitate towards knifes with extra gadgets on them. I also need a cheap knife for my EDC that sharpens well but doesn't always need sharpening and this fits the bill. If I lose my knife, I don't want to take out a small loan to get a new one and I don't want to constantly carry around a sharpening tool because cutting tape messes up the edge. This knife is my office EDC, though I tend to carry it just about everywhere I think I can get away with carrying a small knife. I've sharpened it twice in the couple of months I have had it, but only because I like that very smooth feel when a sharp knife meets little resistance. The bottle opener is small, but just big enough that I don't feel like I'd be better off using a screw driver to open a beer. The screwdriver piece works as a good pry too. I have used this to get into phones, get under metal plates and tighten larger screws with no problem. No bending or chipping! The "lock" (small ball bearing in a groove hidden in the center of the knife) is strong enough that I haven't accidentally unfolded the knife yet. It's not so strong that I feel 100% safe putting my thumb on the spine when I cut, but luckily the knife is designed so your hand wrapped around the handle tends to keep it in place. It's too small for heavy duty cutting any way. The loop is a little deceptive. You'd think it'd make a good laniard hole at first blush but no. It's the most mobile piece of the knife and if you want to fully deploy the knife (ya know, the safe way) you can't have anything in the loop. When deployed, the loop is inside the handle. I have found the loop is a good size for my finger though and now I have a bad habit of spinning the closed knife around my finger. A big EDC must for me is one-handed open. If I can't hold something and get my knife out, it's not an EDC in my opinion. It was almost a deal breaker, but I found a way. I couldn't find the method anywhere so I wanted to put it here: -Hold the knife in your fist so that your index finger is in the large single grove behind the knife and thumb on the loop -Press the knife out of it's locked position -Move your index finger and push the loop further back -Transfer the push from your thumb to your index finger until the knife locks into place -Adjust grip so that the edge isn't in your face :) If someone finds a safer one-handed open, please let me know.

handy, slim pocket knife
This is a handy little knife to have around! I really like it. It's very slim, and slides nicely (and discreetly) in a pocket. As you can see from the picture, it's not big (quarter for scale, and I have average sized hands). There are two reasons this is not a five-star review: 1) Opening or closing the knife one-handed is VERY hard to do. It can be done, but it's like a dexterity challenge to pull it off (of course, the upside is that it's not going to open up in your pocket, so it's safe that way). 2) Because it's so small, you cannot grip it with your whole palm/fingers. The best I could do was my thumb on the back (on the lower third of the blade - any higher than that, and you risk closing it on your fingers) and a couple fingers pinching it up against the palm. This not a blade that you're going to want to put a lot of pressure on to cut through something tough. The blade itself, however, is VERY sharp, and a good thickness too - about as thick as a quarter and a dime. Seems like really good quality steel, which means it should last for a LONG time. It's a great tool for cutting open boxes, or maybe slicing the end off a zip tie / opening a blister pack or something like that. The bottle opener works great (checked that out pretty quick! :-D ) The flathead screwdriver tip is not terribly effective at unscrewing anything that's even remotely tight, but it would be great in a pinch to pry something open. For the price though, it's hard to beat this little knife as an everyday carry!

Handy
These are handy little knives for your pocket or purse. I always carry one as extra in my pocket. And my wife loves having one in her purse. Sharp little things.

Cool design but not practical for me
This is a very cool knife and is sharp as can be on delivery. That said it is awkward to open and very easy to close on your finger. It is just a little too large to keep on my key-chain and has no pocket clip. I carried this around for a few weeks. It made it through security in one airport while travelling as the length of the blade is within the new TSA guidelines, but was rejected as contraband in another airport on the same trip. Overall I enjoy this little knife but it will not be a everyday carry item for me.

Great EDC for small tasks
I love the compact size and blade shape of this knife. It easily fits in the coin pocket of most jeans and sails through cardboard like it was butter. I also feel the small size and manual action of the knife make it much more acceptable in an office setting for small tasks instead of pulling out a more substantial locking folder. As some have stated, this is not a locking knife but has a slip joint action with a blade tang that goes into the handle. This means the blade cannot close so long as your thumb is keeping the tang in the handle.

From design to function it's perfect for those of us who simply need to cut
I absolutely adore this knife. From design to function it's perfect for those of us who simply need to cut, pry, or open something here and there. It's very sturdy. The flat head screw driver isn't much to be desired due to it's 45 degree angle to the knife itself. It makes turning a screw awkward, but it is still useful for prying. Even with that one little gripe I'm still giving 5 stars because I love the knife so much.

Belt Loop Dangle
This is a real nice fidget micro-knife. Just dangling from my belt loop attracted interest. The more I handle it, the more interesting the bonding. I will open letters and bills cleanly with a straight slice up close to the flap fold and everything is clean cut. Besides just hooking this to my belt loop, I hook my keychain securely there through the soft square closing steel back hook, where even my slim finger fits. Allthough the bottle opener is not so efficient, with care, I like that this is my new method. At first, "What is that?" The the geometric shapes rotate through the middle, revealing a clean and smart short broad blade for the small stuff that can occur. A tiny model of industrial art.
