I Have a few Sonos products already for my home, so when I was looking for a bluetooth speaker, this was a no brainer! Sonos has great build quality and minimalistic design which I like, and they are reliable. My existing system of Beam, and 4 Sonos one speakers is 3 - 4 years old and has been faultless.My main reason for purchasing a bluetooth speaker was because I had recently bought a Sony bluetooth turntable to play vinyls on and I needed to upgrade my existing BT speaker. The Roam SL connects quickly and plays wirelessly from the turntable, but the best is yet to come. With the Sonos app, I am able to create a group with my other speakers, so now I can play my vinyls wirelessly throughout my house!! This was a huge selling point for me and it works perfectly. The roam is also great to pick up and take with you if you are in the garden and connects to my phone just fine.As I mentioned, build quality is good. I put this rather precariously on the table and forgot about it, and with the music on it must have vibrated slightly and dropped about 3 foot onto my dining room floor. Happy to say there is no damage and the speaker still sounds great!Downsides are that the volume is limited and the battery life isn't very long. Charging is via USB C and a short cable is provided, but without a plug adaptor.

I’m a huge fan of Sonos and frankly I didn’t have much in the way of expectations for this speaker, owning the Sonos Move already had me believing that something like this didn’t really have a place in my setup. However, I needed something a bit more portable and easily packed into a day bag while going on holiday, and this was ideal!Much to my surprise it was a much more capable little speaker than I had thought it would be, setup is easy enough but I’d recommend doing that before leaving the house and you can still connect to your existing Sonos network if you already have one. Punchy bass and the mids are great.Back from holiday and the speaker has a permanent spot in my bathroom, charge lasts for quite a while if you use it simply to listen to music or podcasts in the shower, you’ll get a days battery out of it if using it continuously though.

Already had a couple of Sonos speakers in the house so was keen to add in this one to allow for use in the garden (or in the garage when i am doing a workout). Easily set up and can be used alone or in tandem with existing sonos devices. Sound is not as strong and clear as regular sonos speakers (obviously) but for what it is it works really well.

First things first. Astonishing sonic performance from a unit so small. Superb with speech on streaming video and equally at home with music: crisp, clear and nuanced sound.I have deducted a star because it is not intuitive to set up with a paucity of instructions. The app is poorly designed and the physical buttons are tricky to see and use.Overall though a great speaker, even if there are cheaper alternatives out there.

Sounds great but if you are expecting this to match much bigger speakers then for the Audiophiles out there this might not be for you.But if you want a small, very portable and durable speaker for times in the garden, camping etc this is a brilliant little speaker. I’ve also go the Bose revolve and this is just as good.Well worth the money in my opinion.

Bought as a Bluetooth speaker, it is not. It is a Sonos Wi-Fi speaker that can be used on Bluetooth. Requires setting up on Wi-Fi to enable Bluetooth.Once working, it emits very loud ‘tones’ when turning on, off or changing mode, much louder than the music will play, theses cannot be dessables or reduced in volume relative to the music.After using at home with iPhone ok, went to friends house, where my phone connects to their WiFi, could not connect phone to Sonos Roam, I suspect it was trying to access the friends Wi-Fi. Could not connect via app, so gave up. Worked ok when I got home.I plan to use this traveling where I will be connected to various Wi-Fi networks, my experience is that it cannot be trusted in an unknown environment.

Great speakers. Bought two for the stereo effect.Get the app right and an excellent product.

Works really well, no issue with it picking up the Wi-Fi anywhere in a large house and garden, works well beyond where my phone will work. Sounds great too, battery lasts for hours. Sit it on a wireless charger to make it easy to grab and go. Just get one they are very good.
