Recomendable.

Great laptop but one tiny problem
Hmmm... Where do I start? This is an amazing laptop.ScreenVibrant, clear, bright. I bought this laptop for photography and editing videos, obviously not the most colour accurate screen but you can work with it.KeyboardBacklit. Now I can use my laptop anywhere I am, in any lighting. The keys are responsive and short travel, which I like.TrackpadPrecision trackpad. I think that all I need to say. Also large trackpad area.PortsPORTS. There are all the necessary ports, the only one that I wish it had was Ethernet but I could live without. I am sure a dongle could fix that.Fingerprint ScannerResponsive but as every fingerprint scanner, make sure the scanner and the selected finger is always clean. It works 90% so far.BuildHmmm... Okay so this is one part you will hear a negative but hear me out. The build quality is great. Slick design but there is one problem, the edge, near your wrist, is a bit sharp. For me, it is bearable but some, I know it would irritate. If you have any questions, you may ask and the review may be updated if anything arises.

A great deal!!! Unexpectedly super speedy.Older model.
Note this model has been replaced with a 7th gen CPU model for more of course. I am blown away how fast it is, how nice the screen and keyboard are, and the fact you can get an Ultrabook at this price. It has a REAL SSD drive, not that slow flash stuff others have. It has a 6th gen i3 CPU and was made in my case 13 months ago. It is fast in every way. The key to such laptops is being able to live with 128 GB drive, which actually pretty good. If you use MS Onedrive and do not sync to the laptop, you use that storage not the laptop. In comparing to others, those with 32 gb flash memory are pretty much a bad choice as it is not enough to do MS Win10 updates, and 64gb are barely enough and not as fast as a real SSD. 128 or 256 GB is pretty much the standard and this has it. As with most Win 10 laptops, it will require a lot of Win 10 updates and rebooting before it is settled. So basically you need to set it up and leave it alone, and in some case restart it and force the updates in settings. Dealing with Win10 is a pain and pretty much starts you off with a bad experience for all brands. Once you are finished with updates, it is quite easy. You need to leave it alone when updating and when it is done, do a restart whether prompted or not because the WIN10 update process is not perfect. This was the perfect for my daughter and I am planning to order another Acer (an 8th gen model) for me soon. One thing to note, it is hard to find Acers on display anywhere, and some models are only available at specific online dealers or a the Acer site. They create and discontinue models all the time. The Acer site is a little difficult to figure our the difference between models. This model is the lowerst proced model in the Swift 3 line. The 3 in the name is for Swift 3, the 14 is for the screen size. Be aware that some models come in different colors but their site does not name the color or show you the color well enough to see. This is also a very light and looks and feels very expensive. We use it for MS Office and Chrome browser (which we installed). You can look at ACER models two ways - at their site and in their store within the site which gives a totally different way of viewing them. In the end, all I can say this thing is much faster and nicer build (keyboard is great) than I every expected and am completely satisfied. When I was discussing with Acer my next purchase they were surprised I thought it was so fast. I personally prefer buying with AMAZON is the seller and try to do so.

Is it a Macbook Air? No it's the Acer Swift 3, amazing build quality!
To start off the photo on Amazon is wrong not a black laptop, so I found some photos online. Also, I would like to say that the first laptop I ordered needed to be returned because it was defective. Second I don't why Amazon hasn't changed the description of this laptop. This laptop is an Acer Swift 3 silver with the 7th Generation Intel i5 processor. Also be careful of the seller you buy from. They have some terrible return policies! Buy from Amazon if you can, if not check the seller's return policy. This laptop is probably the closest thing you can get close to a Macbook Air. This laptop Runs cooler and quieter than a MacBook Air with better performance. Higher resolution and display density as MacBook Air as well. Seems like solid build quality.Amazing stuff about this laptop:- Extremely quick boot time (about 6 seconds)- From sleep to main screen in probably 3 seconds- I use the fingerprint reader which is amazing and quick- The keyboard is great and comfortable to write on (Back-lit keyboard, than you can turn off)- Amazing Full HD IPS display- Very thin and light- Roughly 8-9 hours of battery life (which is really good at this price point)(Turn off Bluetooth to save more battery life)- Touch pad is very smooth and responsive, not shaky like some Asus laptop I had before.Cons:The power button is placed on the keyboard where the delete button usually is, took me a few days to get used to it but I don't mind it anymore.Overall I would go for this laptop because at around $600 this is the best laptop you can get (check Acer website for accurate pricing). There is an HP Envy (13.3 inch) that has almost all the same configurations except with smaller screen and little more battery life but the reviews have mentioned that it has overheating problems, so I would run away.
