Ok, this smells alike the baby chick food, so my old hens love it. There’s no fun seeds in it so they don’t sift though it all wasting it to find one seed. I hate when they toss out 2 cups of feed for 3 sunflower seeds and it rains and rots the wasted food. So, I stopped getting them the fancy schmancy stuff because they were doing just this. Then, They went on food strike and wouldn’t eat the pellets, got crabby with each other holding out for scratch and veggies. Spoiled. Anyway with this, I mix in the egg layer stuff and it smells enough like their food, is small enough they’ll eat it and there isn’t any goodies in it that they spill and waste it all. It’s perfect balance for regular food but sometimes it arrives too finely milled and is a bunch of powder which can clog up the feeder. This is for 3 birds so I can’t imagine how frustrating it would be for langer, heavier feeders. However this is 3x I’ve bought it and I’m pleased enough that I’ll buy it again and sorta sift out the powdered crap. Some bags are more powdered than other so far.

My hens prefer this to the other brand of food that had hay mixed in. This one has a hop smell to it and feeds them well: they are all healthy.

Fresh Everytime, it did not have a bad smell, and my chickens & ducks gobbles it up. It helped my pets grow wonderfully healthy.

I’m not sure if this was worth the cost! It does not include oyster shells and its basic feed for all poultry, that’s probably the only benefit. I will feed it to my hens and see if there’s any changes. As of now I only have 5 laying hens and I usually get 3 eggs per day and occasionally can get 5 but lately I have had 2 broody hens.Update 8/27My hens will not touch this feed! I’m so disappointed that I spent this high amount to have it sit in the garage. They are good eaters but for whatever reason don’t like this feed. 😕

We had a duck literally blow by during an early on hurricane band. We grabbed him and brought him in from the storm. He was a very sad smelly mess. He was so hungry- literally starving. After he rested, all he did was eat and eat the canned and thawed concoction’s we put together for him from what we had on hand. Then we ordered this food from Amazon. He seemed to like it because he wouldn’t stop eating-STILL-yay!!! He still struggles with health problems but he is now loose in the wild but comes by daily for his bowl full. He has a bad limp so I think he has trouble getting enough food on his own. He even brought a little friend by- which is wonderful! The 2 of them come lay under out palm tree and are quite content. We will continue to order this from Amazon so we always have it on hand. His plumage has improved and he is able to take care of himself and he no longer smells so bad. Glad he comes around so we can continue to help him. I hope he is happy!
