the quality has been poor..
I have purchased spools of this elastic a number of times for the past few years from this seller, usually 3-5 spools at a time. Never had a problem until recently. The last two times I have ordered, the quality has been poor....elastic is noticeably thinner and woven differently. Some of them seem to not even be the full 150 yards. Two spools had about a 10-15 yard piece of normal thick elastic on it, then after that piece it turned into thin crappy elastic. I returned part of my previous order for a replacement, and am now making another return for a 2nd replacement. If I do not receive quality elastic like I have for the past couple of years, I will take my business elsewhere.UPDATE: 10/24 - This elastic totally sucks now. No two rolls have the same stretch or thickness, which makes it hard to create a consistent product that I use this elastic for. Don't waste your money, buy another brand.

Can not use if you need the elastic exposed.
I bought this cause it was a great deal. I have 2 kids so it has taken me 5 months to have time to sit down and prep the whole bolt for my Etsy business besides a couple cuts here and there and today I was really unwinding it so I could get the whole thing cut and noticed that it was not a continuous piece. This is not good for me cause that leaves waste and I lose money. I had already come across a few visable flaws (kinda like pencil marks but it is ingrained and won't wash out or anything) but it was very sparatic and again I lose money on that waste cause since my elastic is visable I can't use these flawed pieces. After the section came off I started unwinding the bolt to see if there was any more piecing and the bolt just got more flawed. There are yards and yards that I can't use now and it would be cheaper if I had just gone and gotten 100 of those little 3 yard packages at this point. The stretch was great and if this had been placed inside something then fine but now I am out almost $50 for my small Etsy business.I will say that a lot of reviews said they didn't get the item that was pictured but I did get the item pictured but sadly it took me 5 months to unroll far enough into the bolt and find my problem, until then it seemed so promising.I will try and post the pictures I took if I can.Edited to add my pictures, they show the deep gray braid piece going through, at first it was just on parts and then after the piecing that suddenly was just on the bolt that I did not cut about 1/4 of the way through that deep gray part was just non stop.I can't use flawed elastic in the products that I sell in my etsy shop, it just isn't professional since they are exposed and I need it to look nice.

Great price!
I make doll clothes so I buy a lot of elastic. Seems like every time I went to Walmart to buy it, the price had gone up again.. So, of course, I came to Amazon to see what I could find.. The price on Amazon is about .14 a yard compared to the cheapest 1/4" elastic at Walmart, which is about .25 a yard. When you use a lot of it, that really adds up quickly, plus it's nice to have this much on hand so I don't have to keep opening new packs of elastic, which are then laying loose on my workspace. I find this very convenient having it rolled up on a spool..As for the elastic itself, it's stretchy, but not exactly like the product I used to buy from Walmart. Walmarts brand is a bit softer and has a little more stretch, but for what I use this for, it's fine..Elastic is normally encased in a seam, so the softness really doesn't matter, and I've found that it stretches just fine. Plus, I had noticed that the Walmart brand had become prone to ravel, and I haven't seen any raveling with this elastic at all. It seemed to me that the Walmart brand kept going up in price, but the product itself was being made cheaper.

Not the same quality as before
I've purchased and used this brand before. It was great and high quality. What came today was the same product and packaging but cheaper quality elastic. I noticed that the one that I had was made in India and it was 72% polyester, 28% rubber and the one sent was made in China with lower percentages. The price was the same as before though. $30. I have to return it since I made dresses with it to sell and this would not hold up well. If you are looking for a soft elastic with a lot of stretch most likely this will be fine. But its not a heavy duty one.

This product is exactly what you might expect. The stretch is great and comparable to something you might find at your local sewing shop, in fact it might be the exact same product that is offered there. At least it is in my store. I've bought this particular item twice now, it is easy to work with the size is great for my use, and I use a LOT of elastic for my sewing projects. I love that it provides me with plenty of elastic to get loads of projects done, the price is excellent and the product itself is very durable and withstands many, many trips to the washer and dryer.

You may never need elastic again!
This is a 144 yards of quarter inch elastic. It is a LOT of elastic! But it is just right for making lots of things. Works good in many different crafts. I used it for making some sleep masks (I was working 3rd shift at the time) and also made my self a pair of underwear and used it in the waist band. I can see this being good for putting elastic in sleeves, doll clothes, or anything else where you don't need a really wide elastic. Just keep in mind it is a lot of elastic, so if you don't need this much, this might not be for you.

Might buy again, but must be inspected.
I would've given more stars, but the item had two ends. After alot of unraveling, I was able to remove the cut section and wrapped the main back up. I'm not sure if the length of the product is accurate due to this. Was disappointed.
