It's PERFECT, working on multiple levels. It gets the kids thinking about cave men (and women and boys and girls) which many kids are surprised to learn about. It gives a totally plausible possible explanation for the origins of the first art, and it highlights a fundamental purpose of art--to let others see what you see. It's beautiful. The kids listened in complete silence, paying attention to the whole story.

Linda a forma que o livro apresenta a narrativa a partir dos pensamentos do personagem principal, que é cheio de energia e também muito inventivo. Interessante também a viagem até à pré-história, quando o leitor pode ter contato com seres já extintos. Super recomendo!

This book is perfect
I used this book for an art unit in preschool. It's PERFECT, working on multiple levels. It gets the kids thinking about cave men (and women and boys and girls) which many kids are surprised to learn about. Fantastic to use alongside Stone Age History lesson
A lovely book in its own right but so useful alongside a Stone Age History unit - it really helped the children imagine life in Stone Age times and recognise that we are learning about real (albeit different) people.

Captivatiing.
Lovely drawings that capture the mood of the book and the story perfectly. My son and I really enjoyed it and used it for homeschooling based on the Stoneage.

If you have young children, you won’t want to miss this one!
Found this treasure in my eye doctor’s waiting room! What a wonderful introduction for children to history, archeology, and art all in one well illustrated book! I came right home and ordered a copy! Delightful.
