His Paperback – July 4, 2014

I like dark books and absolutely loved Her Dark Prison. I felt in this book the ad for this book on Amazon, the teaser for the book and what it actually turned out to be were totally different. The teaser got me excited about what I would read, but once I got past the first few chapters I found I had to force myself to finish the book. I couldn't get into this book if it had been more just dark but still real characters that are flawed but you love anyway I could see me staying with the book. That's what the teaser made me feel, the book though just felt weird. I can't say this book would make me decide to never read the author again, but there is no comparison between this and Her Dark Prison. I never had to force myself to finish any part of that book, dark as well and difficult subject matter didn't pull me away I leapt from chapter to chapter and recommend the book highly. His just was not the 1 for me!

This is not a typical love story. It begins with the heroine Bethany being kidnapped from a party that is being thrown by her uber rich and uncaring parents and her arranged fiance. She is taken and drugged by Abe Sparrow who started working as head of security for her father a year ago.Abe became obsessed with Bethany and has made plans to have her for himself through out the year of his employment with her father. This is not the typical fairy tale romance. At times it is dark, intense and quite uncomfortable to read. Ms Snow weaves a page turning tale. Our heroine grows from naive and weak to a force to be reckoned with. Ms Snow does make her villain, Abe to be likeable and a redeeming hero in the end. A very unusual love story that was disturbing yet had moments of beauty due to its unapologetic honesty. Hurray for Ms Jenika Snow!. I will make it a point to read all of her existing and new books going forward.

Hey Voila!!!!!!!I finished the excellent story from this author Jenika Snow who did it again...I recently know her and this is my second book that i read ..I can tell she did not disappointed me with this one.....I loved it..It is unique,Wow!!!!!!!!!This story grabbed my attention at the first page until the last,this book did not have a chance to be put down from my hands...It so well written,easy to read,quick also, cos its a short story but full and complete....The characters were also well written Abe & Bethany,who they cant be denied for each either(you will see)....You will find,kinky,sex hot,obsession,want,desire,tense,determination,and more...I will suggest this short tale who really i mean really like dark because for sure you wont find Vanilla so read the warning..I wish it would have been longer cos it is so D@mn good, i was very satisfied with this book...Now i cant wait to read more of Author Jenika Snow's books....An applause for this novella!!!!!!!!!!!WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This book grabbed my attention from the first page and never let go until the last page.This is one of the best books I have read and the first by this author. Dark and sensual this is not your usual love story. Exciting and a true page turner, this book has it all. The Sex was HOT. I disagree that this was NOT a HEA book. In the end both people got what they wanted. At 108 pages it is a shorter book but tells a complete story. So happy I took a chance and bought this book. WOW. Worth every penny.

I liked this storyline a lot. I love a damaged, mysterious alpha hero. I only gave it four stars though because there was something missing for me. I didn't feel a huge emotional connection between the hero and heroine. He kidnaps her, but even as they stay together over time I didn't feel any build up to them. It all felt based on a physical connection and nothing more. Good read, but this is practically the same story as Captive, Mine by Natasha Knight and I liked that one better.

this is truly amazing, holy mary mother of god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the characters, the interaction between them, the story line, unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will not be able to put down your kindle, I could not once I started to read this. It is amazing, holy crap, holy crap...; I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this was another amazing book by this awesome author!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woot! Woot!!!!

Wow! This was definitely not a fairy tale romance. It's gritty, dark, kinky and highly erotic. Bethany is one of those poor little rich girls who keeps her mouth shut and does what she's told included having to marry someone she doesn't want to. Hired as a bodyguard, Abe is a killer, has a dark personality and has a secret obsession with Bethany. What's a guy to do besides kidnap the girl. Loved it. Story draws you in from the beginning and holds your attention.

HIS is the first book I have ever read by this author and it was definitely a tense and seductive dark story.I know many readers "say" they don't like non-con sex or even dubious-con sex and there is a group of people who are anti anything that has a woman forced into a relationship whether or not she eventually submits.I happen to "get" the appeal of this type of romance...and yes, I do think it was a romance...albeit a very non conventional one...but it made me feel something for Abe and Bethany. I felt like a voyeur reading this book but that also appealed to my sense of adventure and while kidnap and almost forced intercourse are not usually appealing, the life Bethany was taken from...her disgusting "fiance" and her less than loving parents...made me side with Abe, even though he used a drastic method to get what he wanted (and what Bethany NEEDED).I loved the twist and how the book ultimately ended. It was perfect for me and I really did appreciate this short but very intense erotic book.**** 4 **** "what you wanted was right in front of you the whole time" stars
