Helly-HansenSailing Glove Short

There IS an importance difference between sailing gloves and biking gloves!
Let me start by saying I like a good deal and try to be an “out of the box thinker”. I already own a pair of biking gloves and thought I could make them pull double duty as sailing gloves too. Well, don’t make the same mistake I did! You see, there is a key distinction between the gloves for these two different activities. It has been said, “size matters” and in this case specifically, I am referring to length. The length of the leather protecting each finger is what keeps the lines from tearing into the flesh of delicate fingers (mine). After my failed experiment, using biking gloves, I ordered this pair of sailing gloves. I believe I received them the next day and three days later they were stylishly protecting my fingers fromlines as we sailed. I purchased a small, which is my normal size of clothing, and they fit snugly, but with enough room to comfortably move my hands. Excellent purchase! Bonus, they look great too!

Perfect fit on a nimble breathable glove
The media could not be loaded. Bought these for sailing adventures. Wanted a glove that would protect me from rope burns but still allow me to easily work the ropes. I also wanted a lightweight and breathable fabric. All of these needs didn’t leave me with a lot of options, especially as a woman with slender fingers and wrists.I went by Helly Hansens glove measurements on their website and the fit is perfect. The gloves meet all of my requirements. I can’t wait to put them to use this coming weekend!

Pretty disappointed in HH
The materials are good along with the quality of the stitching. The placement of the thumb clearly isn't designed for human hands. I'm sure they'll stretch into place but im not impressed. These are utterly generic.

Exactly as shown, true to size.
Exactly as shown, true to size. Wish they came in cuter color combinations.

Poor design for scow sailing
The thumb is 1/2 mesh so there’s no protection. My thumbs are rubbed raw from the jib sheets.

Not super durable, but darn cheap!
I needed cheap sailing gloves to replace my Gill's which did not last very long. These seem relative durable although they stretch out easily which is not ideal (I prefer that they fit my hand like, um, like a glove). But they were cheap and I can't work the sheets without them so we'll see how long they last. Great price.

cheaply made
I returned these as they were very cheaply made. Bought a pair of Gill sailing gloves and they are much better.
