I surprised at how well this metal detector worked. I wasn't expecting much thinking it was just a child's toy, but I was wrong. First the entire unit is constructed of sturdy plastic and has an lcd display. The display will indicate a good target or bad one. There is also a tone emitted as well. Battery level is also indicated on the display. They include a shovel and sifting tray as well. To test the unit I tossed some coins in the yard and planted a couple in shallow dirt in the garden then went out treasure hunting. To my surprise the detector was able to locate the coins both in the grass and buried in the garden. The next test was to send the grandkids out with it to see what they could find. I planted a few more coins and off they went. They did find, to their joy, the coins and some other miscellaneous items. Nothing of any value but it was fun to watch them going all over the place in search of "treasure". We are planning a trip to the beach soon and they want to take the detector with them. They are now constantly looking for treasure any chance they have. Just going to the local park is now a treasure hunting journey. May have to get another one so they don't have to share, since even their friends want in on the action. It says it is waterproof up to 3ft in depth but I haven't had the chance to verify that yet, but we have hosed the dirt off of it with no issues. I give it 4 1/2 stars.

Auch ich selbst habe Spaß damit. Schon echt viel Geld auf den Spielplätzen gefunden. Tolles Gerät mit sehr einfacher Bedienung.

Der Detektor funktioniert entsprechend der Beschreibung. Etwas schade fand ich es, dass der Karton schon beschädigt bei mir ankan. Es war zu erkennen, dass es kein Transportschaden war. Der Plastikteil der Umverpackung war locker und ich habe überall Streifen mit Klebeband gefunden. So als ob das schon mal jemand versucht hat, zu reparieren. Da es ein Neukauf war und kein Second- Hand-Kauf und ich diese Art Qualität von Amazon nicht kenne bisherl, gibt es einen Punkt Abzug.Mich hätte das nicht ganz so sehr gestört, wenn es für mich persönlich gewesen wäre, aber als Geschenk für ein Kind fand ich das schon etwas schade.
