Reasobaly well made, and worth the price
I first purchased a 2.5 inch vice (Performance brand). I didn't like it a bit. The moving jaw was too loose and wobbly and casting was too rough; I returned it. Almost at the same price, I found this one by WEN. It is 3 inches in jaws width, and much better made. New, movement is a bit stiff, but you can adjust the tension of the moving jaw by 2 bolts underneath the jaw. I am certain with frequent usage it'll become smoother. It is sturdy and small at the same time so that you can put it in a toolbox to carry it around or use it with your bench drill press. Good and sensible deal indeed.

Needed some user adjustment
I had to reset the set screw that holds the handle and loosen slightly the two screws above it so it would slide easier. Biggest issue was the need to thoroughly lubricate all of the parts that are involved in movement: the screw itself and all parts that slide. It took several cycles of WD-40, 3-IN-1 Oil and a a high quality synthetic grease until I could achieve acceptable movement. Once that was done, however, the jaws closed nicely in alignment and it was a near perfect fit for the table on my Craftsman 5 inch drill press.

Great Value for the Money
I adjusted the two socket head screws on the bottom of the vice a tiny bit and the jaw moved more smoothly. The WEN 3" drill press vice is the right size for the WEN 4206T benchtop drillpress. Given the price, it is an excellent value for the money.

3" fits my 8" harbor freight and the price is right
The 4" are too big for my 8" harbor freight drill press, so the 3" was, almost, perfect. I only paid $80 on closeout for the drill press so couldn't justify getting a $40-$50 vise, so the price was this one's best feature. Works well. The only problem was the set screw that holds the main screw to the clamp loosened, so the whole main screw came out. Easy fix with some thread lock.

dont under estimate this one...i am using it on Proxxon FF230 Mill.one of the best part in this jaw is that you can use software jaws on this vise.high quality and best for the price !
