Edit: As I previously stated I had been looking at this bag for a while. I jealously saw all of the reviews of people who received the bag at a discount. Earlier this summer I decided to pull the trigger and for the most part I was happy. I had a couple of small issues as documented below that I will leave for transparency. The owners contacted me to see if there was anything that they could do to address my concerns. They were very understanding and only cared about the satisfaction of the customer. As my case was a little different the decided it was best to send me a new bag and I am 100% happy with it. I am more inclined to believe that my experience was just a one off thing that happens from time to time. I also bought some more containers along with the ones that I received with the new bag and they all work great. I washed them 3 times so far and no spills. Although I do not recommend flipping your lunch box around all of these new ones seem to be passing the test. I for one though will most likely just hand wash them because now I have so many that I could probably do a load of dishes with just those things. I figure that will also extend the life of the containers anyways even though I have no real proof that using them in the dishwasher will hurt them. Also This bag can fit other plastic containers but it was made for the ones that came with it. I feel like you could get away with it but why? These containers are the perfect size and I would trust these a lot more in the microwave and such over the cheap ones you may buy in a grocery store. This really is a great bag. I will probably be buying my wife one now sometime around Christmas because she likes my bag more than the $100+ meal prep bag i bought her last Christmas :-( . I had been eyeing this for a while. I see most people in the reviews received a discount. I paid full price. After a month of use I have some pros and cons as to why I only gave 3 stars. Pros: -Looks great. I receive many compliments on the looks. -The extra strap is pretty cool to. I like the option. -The top compartment is very handy. -Keeps food cold. Seems to be insulated very well. I haven't put it to a rough test yet but for normal daily activity it has done the job. -Compact but efficient -Strong exterior Cons: -The zipper on the main pocket always gets stuck. This is the primary con for me. It catches the insulation on almost every zip. Whether it be zipping up the zipper or unzipping. I feel like the inner lining will not last long at this rate. (please note I also make a special effort the make sure this doesn't happen and sometime it still does.) -More of an annoyance really but when you have one of the straps connected to the sides you have to either unstrap the strap to easily unzip the zipper or just deal with it and maneuver the strap around as you unzip. Me being picky: -The containers don't really seem all that dishwasher safe to me. I washed them for the first week in dish washer and they all became warped within a couple uses. Now i just hand wash. -For someone coming from having a much larger box it doesn't seem like a lot of space. I am getting used to it though and you just have to pack efficiently. Overall the bag does the job and it serves the purpose. I am just not sure how long the front compartment will last me so I am unsure if I will repurchase another one or look elsewhere when this one wears down.

This is my second set of lunch bags I’ve purchased from Evolutionize (two - one for myself and one for my husband). My last set lasted around two years before it started showing signs of wear and tear, after daily use. The old ones still functioned, though, they just weren’t looking pretty (at no fault to this amazing company). We decided to replace our old ones and were happy to see a couple of upgrades since the last model bag we had. The new, all-black design is sleek looking. We love the fact it now comes with a slim ice pack and three meal prep containers. Very convenient. My husband and I prefer glass containers with snap lock lids for our personal meal prep (they are easier to keep clean), but these containers are pretty good for plastic ones. I like the snap close lids. You can comfortably fit all three containers and the ice pack inside the bag and still have room in the compartments to add additional storage. I may suggest for the next refresh design maybe just like an inch taller for the inside compartment, in case people like using glass versus plastic and want the ability to add a second or third slim ice pack inside to keep their food extra cold. Or maybe even include three glass snap lock containers with the bag that are designed to fit inside? Otherwise, I have no other suggestions. Our last set lasted a long time and we are hoping this set will last just as long. It’s really an awesome bag if you prepare your food for the day and need to bring your food on the go.

***UPDATE*** This is a great company that is extremely responsive. See below for my initial experience, though. The company owner reached out to me quickly to rectify the icepack problem and to address my shoulder strap concern. They sent me a new icepack and I expect it will last for quite awhile. I am upgrading my review to four stars as a result of their excellent customer service. I would feel confident buying from Evolutionize again. ***Initial review*** The bag itself is great. It is well constructed, the design is practical and allows me to keep my dry goods, silverware, powders, hot or cold drinks, and refrigerated meals all separate which is fantastic. The meal prep containers are awesome, but sadly not available for separate purchase...so I can't buy more. I have only found the flimsy version that Evolutionize recommends here on Amazon. The bag has two major flaws however: 1) The strap works well, but has no shoulder pad, so it is slippery. I have to tuck the shoulder strap under my backpack's shoulder strap just to make it stay on my shoulder. It should really have a grip pad to help it stay on your shoulder. 2) The ice pack broke quickly. I noticed within two weeks that there was blue gunk inside my bag and upon inspection, I noticed that the icepack broke where it has a connective joint in the middle (notice the two small divots in the middle of the pack). This happened simply by freezing, thawing, and re-freezing. It has not received an impact and I take care of the product. I now have to keep the ice pack in a freezer Ziploc bag to avoid getting more blue gunk on my bag or meal prep containers. I might be the only one who experienced this....but I doubt it. The case of the icepack should be stronger to resist expansion cracks while freezing. I will need to get another ice pack from a different vendor. This problem makes me not want to recommend this bag to others, so if Evolutionize improves the icepack and installs a shoulder grip, this bag would be awesome, but for now I recommend other brands to those considering this bag.
