Would this keep chickens safe from hawks trying to swoop down and grab a chicken?

It should keep them safe from most above ground predators. An animal could dig underneath it. But, it should keep them safe from hawks!

Would this be a good option to keep black rat snakes out?

I love this thing to put teenage chickens in during the day when they are not yet big enough to roam with the big girls (hawk bait!) but it won’t keep snakes out. We have squirrels scoot in under the bottom, so snakes can get in easily.

What about predators? Can they get in it?

You definitely shouldn't leave them in it overnight but during the day for casual use I believe it to be at least predator resistant. A dog would get in if it wanted to but maybe not a cat and definitely not a predatory bird if it was set up properly.
