Quality construction and built to last
I've bought 4 of these, great in my garage, sturdy. Wish the shelving was adjustable but I still think they're really good.

good value
very good value for the price. I have had bulkier storage racks in the past with thicker boards and metals pieces, but at less overall storage area and almost double the price. I have two of these and will be buying more in the future.

Loved the sturdiness and size!

Not worth money.
The product was not very easy to install and the cost was high. Just bought a much better shelving unit that holds more weight per shelf, and was easier to install at Costco for $30 less. This product serves a purpose but shop around.

A rod bent
A rod bent right after installation and putting 200lbs evenly on it. Therefore, it bows in the middle. I do not think each shelf can bear what’s advertised. They promised to send me a new rod and never did.

Disappointed
Disappointed! I run a Girl Guide Unit and we wanted shelves to store our tents and camping equipment. I was delighted when these shelves arrived (bought 4), strong, looked good BUT so disappointed that after their first winter in our steel shed, the chipboard shelves have absorbed every bit of moisture and are now damp, mishapen, and mouldy. Yesterday we had to take all our camping gear off the shelves and we hope the tents are not ruined. We are now faced with removing the wooden shelves (the steel frames are perfect) and replacing them with new treated or pressurised timber or metal. More expense. So unless you are keeping these shelves in your warm heated house, I cannot recommend them.

Great frame but the shelves stink
I feel bitter sweet about these. I am chuffed that the price was great. I thought they wouldn't be top quality but they really are sturdy and strong. They were simple to put together, it took me about twenty minutes. They peices can be put together using a rubber mallet for ease. But can be slid together fairly smoothly. So you can do it completely tool free. The only let down with these is that the wood stinks. From previous reviews I note that there has been issues with damp causing the shelves to sag over time. I think the manufacturers have now seen that and treated them with some kind of anti fungal treatment. But it stinks. I open the garage and it smells so strongly. Its not an overly offensive smell. But it is potent and it certainly is not pleasant. If this smell minimises over time I'll update this review.I bought two of these units and I was glad to see they came with useful attachments to join them closely together.Another good point is that there are a few holes over the metal frame which allow you to either attach it to the wall one side, but on the open sides you can bolt hooks onto it.The feet are a little bit fiddly and basic. But they work.

A pain to assemble but does the job
Even if you're a competent & proficient DIYer, assembling this unit is far from "Ikea simple". Aim to set aside around 90 mins as a starter. Slot together assembly does sound easy, but the real world experience isn't.The problem is one of getting the horizontal and vertical pieces slotted together correctly with the linking tabs lined up correctly. Once you're half way through assembly you'll realise where you went wrong with the first few pieces and have to go back and start again. Some slot in easily, whilst others require a lot of bending & persuasion with a mallet and a screwdriver, so it's not straightforward.Once the skeletal frame is assembled the whole unit is still very rickety, until you add the MDF shelves in which seem to help make the unit more rigid. What the instructions don't say is that any shelves closer than 30 cm to the shelf above will simply not fit, because there's not enough "tilt" space to angle the shelf up before knocking into home into each corner. Very annoying to have to then start moving the horizontal beams to allow enough access. Also the MDF is supplied untreated. Lots of stories of people finding mould on theirs after a short space of time, so make sure you apply 2 coats of MDF sealer to avoid later mould problems from moisture. Amazon sell a good clear MDF sealer by Rustins, which I used. Finally, I'm not sure I would trust the claims about how much weight each shelf can take, but I can tell you I have a lot of heavy bottles and heavy garden tools on mine, and they seem to do the job okay. Time will tell.So it's a slightly generous 4 stars because overall it's extremely good value for the price, and it does the job you want it to. The assembly is a real pain though, and having ordered two of these I can say the second one wasn't that much quicker to put together despite all the lessons I'd learned on the first ! Good luck.

Value for money
Having read recent reviews for this product I was fully expecting a few issues, but I had none. Product arrived promptly, all parts were present and correct and instructions were clear. The metal supports are not rock solid industrial standard and don't need to be but they're certainly not flimsy either. I'm sure they can, with a bit of effort, be bent out of shape but its the final structure that gives rigidity and enables it to support the stated loads. I certainly have no issue with the final sturdiness of the shelf unit -and its now fully laden.Couple points on construction:The metal pieces slot together by use of tabs. A single tab on a support slips into two holes in an upright a bit like a flat bolt on a back gate. You can line these up manually but will need a mallet/rubber hammer to fully engage. You need to be careful to ensure the tab passes through both holes rather than through the first but overlapping the second. If the top shelf is to be very near the top, leave the plastic caps (also used as the feet) off until the top shelf is fitted else you'll have to remove them to slot the shelf in.All in all a satisfied customer and a value for money product.

Heavy duty shelving
Heavy duty, deep shelves, hold a lot of gear and weight.3 internal adjustable shelves. hight of shelves can be ajusted from each other,to differant heights.Easy to put together, but if your short, small framed or not the strongest,I would highly recommend two people, fitting the shelving units together,as they do quickly get heavier and heavier as their are beeing built.Try to build in area you intend to place,as their difficult to move once built.due to weight, size and shelves still moveable.Units can be bought and linked together, with small links that hold units side by side,to make them more sturdy. The units are made from heavy metal and wood.the painted surfaces are ok.but their industrial shelving units originally made for your garage or shed.so their maybe paint faults, but it’s expected, for their purpose of use.over their very strong well made heavy shelving units that can hold a lot of weight.I would reacommend.the deeper units than the not so deeper ones,if you have the room and money,as they hold more, but more inportant they are more stable and proberly better value for money.fitting together is easy, instruction are clear and easy to follow,I’ve bought 5 units 3 deeper than the other 2.over the process of fitting together it got easier and quicker each time. The box,s their fitted in are very heavy.but the wood shelves are boxed separately.8 out of 10
