Edited to add; after a good airing out for two days, that toxic smell is absolutely gone and now I got a nice travel case for my brushes!!The brushes came well packaged, each brush was in its own spot inside the felt-like roll-up carrier within a sturdy clear tube. Upon opening the clear tube though, it took a second but then it hit me. A gawdaful smell coming from the roll-up carrier that a lot of other people had mentioned in their reviews. I have no way to describe that smell other than a toxic chemical smell, the other reviewers weren’t kidding! So I took the brushes out and put them in a pretty jar, and took that case outside and hung it on the clothesline. Hopefully airing it out for a couple of days will do the trick, because I really do like a case like that for on-the-go artistry. Now as for the brushes, they are all well built, the handle feels great in my hand and even the bent brush feels amazing. They are perfect for my highly detailed watercolor eyes painting. Love the brushes but hopefully the manufacturer can change something about that horrid smelling roll-up case.

The brushes are nice and good value for what you get. When you open the packaging, the smell coming off the case for the brushes is horrible. You are definitely going to want to air this out for a few days.

Great gift

Picked these up on sale to use as "beaters" for tasks that I don't want to abuse more expensive brushes on.After several uses, these are actully holding up surprisingly well. The long bristles actually help keep paints out of the ferule, and with a little care they have kept their pointed tip for longer than I expected given the price point.I haven't gotten a lot of use out of the flat brushes, they seem fine but are already out of shape from the few uses.

While the bristles come apart and start to become hard to control strokes very quickly, it's easily fixed with a simple rinse. It works well for me personally cuz I've ruin many brushes by not washing them enough because I use one colour for so long

They work ok, but the paint on the handles likes to chip off pretty easily and the bristles don't stay crisp for long, even if cleaned and cared for properly. They'll work, but you'll probably want better ones eventually.

I enjoy using these brushes, great quality and has stepped up my painting game!
