Cells at Work! 3

Each is still fun and interesting to read
The episodic nature of "Cells at Work!" is starting to wear a tad thin for me in this volume. We get some very different infections this time, from the common cold to acne, and there's a chapter devoted to the younger days of the T cells (aka thymic selection and maturation). Each is still fun and interesting to read, but I'm beginning to wonder if there's any overarching plot. The formula of Red Blood Cell getting lost all the time and/or ending up in dangerous situations, and White Blood Cell coming to save her is starting to get a bit repetitive in this volume. The only hint of a bigger plot I can envision is related to WBC being warned not to get chummy with other cells, since its job is to kill any threats to the body, including other cells. I'm guessing one day RBC and WBC's friendship will tragically coming to an end when one of them ultimately reach the end of their natural lifespan (after all, WBCs only live for a few days, while RBCs live for a few months), or when one of them gets killed. But that's no more than a guess, as the series seem intent on having the two of them chug along the body together in the foreseeable future. For now though, I'm happy to follow these cells along and see what sort of trouble they get themselves into in the next chapter.

Plotline
I love this manga! It is very informative about the types of cells and functions of certain parts of the body while keeping a good plot line and an interesting story! It also shows the protagonist's journey through her life as a red blood cell and makes her relateable as a character. The author did an amazing job!!

I like this series. Cute and smart. Gives a small lesson on how the body works, reminds me of the names of cells.

Empfehlenswert
Einer der besten Manga, die ich je las. Ich wünschte, es hätte ihn schon früher zu meiner Ausbildungszeit gegeben. Funktionen des Körpers werden wunderbar und auch lustig dargestellt. Ich liebe diesen Manga!

Quality, learning time guaranteed
Sebum, acnes, pimples, vaccinations, etc. You would find a lot of familiar words such as these in Cells at Work!,. You would also find terms you have never heard of in it, too. Whether you understand certain terms or not, you would learn a lot by reading Cells at Work!. One thing you would learn is, of course, how a body functions. The second thing you may learn is how imagination works in explaining seemingly vanilla themes.
