The review you need to get reloading
Here's the bottom line. This measure is very consistent with Unique, Power Pistol, and Bullseye as well as others for pistol loads (those are the ones I've tried). Once setup there's little to no leakage. When changing disks, be careful and remember to twist the reservoir to shut off flow. You get the hang of it quickly. The VMD recommendations that lee provides are generally off a bit but you tweak it until it fits your need. For me the disk with .37 consistently drops 3.2grains of bullseye. Once I figured that out, it was off and running.Out of the box, wash the powder reservoir inside and out with dawn dish soap and dry thoroughly. Use alcohol (or something similar) to clean out the dies so powder does not stick when dropped. Now you're good to assemble. Youtube has some great videos that show not only assemble but how the thing works. Before adding any powder (or even attaching the reservoir) I attached the unit to the riser (a must buy) and then to through expanding die and with a case watch you can verify that everything is functioning as it should. This allows you to understand how its all working. The unit simply uses gravity to allow powder to fill the disk hole, then the spring pulls one full disk forward and drops it in the case. Dirt simple.Once you have found the disk that you need. I recommend you drop powder and measure, empty, repeat to prove consistency. Then measure every round and refill case until you feel comfortable and trust the thrower. From that point forward, I weigh about every 10th round.Only drawback is that the disk holes run in increments which may skip the exact measurement you need. Not a big deal for guys like me who aren't pushing the limits so I can afford a jump from 93 to 95% of max charge since I stay below the max charge anyway. This begs the next question. If you are ordering this for pistol powder and contemplating Lee's Micrometer Adjustable Charge Bar, let me save you the trouble. Don't buy it! The thing has several problems. You'll notice that the disks are round holes with smaller diameters for each load. They line up perfectly and work perfectly every time. The Charge Bar has one side fixed radius circle with a flat adjustable slide controlled by a screw driving it in and out. Because of that it doesn't line up and for smaller loads like pistols need it flat out doesn't work. It may work great for larger loads but I cannot recommend it for pistol reloads and frankly it wasted about 2 hours of my time trying to get it throw consistently which is never did.

Works great
This is actually my second Lee Auto Loader. Speeds up reloading and gives a consistent charge. I load 9mm and 45acp and decided to have one dedicated to each caliber.

Works great for pistol and small rifle cartridges.
This powder measure has proven to be quite consistent for me. The main mechanism seems to be a clever design that works well. However, the hopper portion feels like cheap plastic. That's because it is. The plastic hopper portion consists of 4 pieces: hopper ($6), valve ($5), wiper ($1), and the screw that holds it all together ($0.50). Even though it feels quite cheap, I have not had any issues with mine so far. Even if I did, you can see that replacement parts are quite cheap. This powder measure works by filling a cavity in a disk, hence the name. As you pull the lever on your press, the case rises in to the measure mechanism and through springs and levers, the disk is moved from under the hopper and dumps the powder charge in to a hole over the case. As you lower the lever, the disk cavity move back under the hopper to fill with another charge. The preset disks top out at 1.57cc. If you need more powder than that allows, Lee sells a double disk kit, allowing you to stack disks for greater charges. I have it and it works okay, but I prefer to use a drum style powder measure for larger charges. I also have the adjustable charge bar and I like it a lot. See my review of that for more information. It is worth noting that you are limited to the preset cavity volumes in the 4 disks provided, unless you're using the adjustable charge bar. One cavity might hold 4 grains of TiteGroup, and the next size might hold 4.5 grains. This is an exact problem that I had, so I drilled and tapped a set screw in the larger cavity. By adjusting the set screw I can dial the charge down to 4.2 grains, my competition load. I've included some photos of the Pro Auto Disk on a turret for 9mm. You can see the set screw I've installed in the disk. I was concerned that it would create a shelf for powder to stand on, but it has not been a problem at all. It really works great and only cost me about a buck.

Excellent Value & Quality
This a great product and very repeatable with the powders I've used in it so far. I've had no problem with powder leaks and it's very easy to set up. I prefer it on my Dillon 550 as a very cost effective alternative to their powder measure (which is a great unit too). Buy at Lee's price point, you can afford to set one of these up each different tool head for truly rapid calibre changes. With the disk doubler, this is a truly versatile loading tool for rifle cases as well. My only beef (hence 4 stars instead of 5) is that even though you can turn it off you can't remove the hopper by itself, so you have pull the whole tool head / turret out of the press to dump the powder. But overall I am very pleased with this product and can highly recommend it.
