Yes, it is CHEAP, I purchased this in early 2020 for only $8.99, a steal. It is machined precisely and very strong. Some of the reviewers give it a one star, I suspect they don't know how to mount scopes properly, and are taking this inexpensive product for granted. Many US brands source products from China but they make a killing by mark up their products anywhere from 300% to 600%.

This is a surprisingly durable mount. It's aluminum. Each ring comes with 6 screws, for a total of 12 ring screws and the two screws used to tighten the recoil lugs. This allows you to torque down cautiously and consistently.Unlike the similar CCOP mounts (which you can see in the picture I've attached), this can probably go up against a Burris PEPR. It's not a small or petite mount, by any means. Mine's holding a Leupold 1.5-4x variable. In the photo, it's the mount on the left; a similarly-priced CCOP is on the coyote tan rifle on the right.

Several of the screws stripped out when installing.Not my first scope to mount - I know what I'm doing.Installed the screws in an X pattern (lower left, then upper right, lower right, then upper left, then the centers). Tightened evenly on both sides,Since there are six screws and not all stripped, I thought I'd be ok.Took it to the range to sight it in, and ended up with the front mount coming completely loose and no way to fix it.Unfortunately I couldn't get to the range soon enough and now it's past the return date.Bought the AccuShot Picatinny medium profile 2-piece rings to replace. Very well made. Definitely worth the price! Also has opening you can see the iron sights through. What else do you need?
