I recently purchased the Sunco 12 Pack 6 Inch LED Recessed Lights to upgrade the lighting in my home, and I couldn't be happier with the results. These retrofit downlights are a game-changer, offering a significant improvement in both aesthetics and functionality. Installation was surprisingly easy. The "retrofit" design means they screw directly into existing 6-inch can light housings, eliminating the need for complex wiring or new fixtures. The instructions were clear, and I was able to install all 12 lights in a few hours without any professional help. The spring clips held the lights securely in place, creating a flush and clean look against the ceiling. The light quality is fantastic. At 1050 lumens and a 13W output, they are incredibly bright and provide ample light to illuminate a large room. The light is a crisp, clean white (I chose the 5000K daylight option) that doesn't feel harsh or sterile. The baffle trim does an excellent job of reducing glare, creating a soft, diffused light that's easy on the eyes. What truly sold me on these lights is the energy efficiency. Swapping out my old incandescent bulbs for these LED lights has made a noticeable difference in my energy consumption. The price was excellent for the quantity, and I like that each light lets you adjust to the color temperature you want. Installation was quick and easy and fit perfectly. The lights look clean and modern once in place, and the included metal clips — while not pre-attached — snap on easily and hold securely. It’s too early to say how long they’ll last, but so far they’re working perfectly and look much better than the originals. Good product. Used in our kitchen, the lights are bright. The instructions were good, the product is easy to install. The only issue preventing a 5 star rating is that out of a set of 10 lights, one light had a pronounced flicker. I had one light remaining from the original order, so I was able to replace the defective unit. QA of 90% (9 out of 10 lights) is good, but not great.

I am very happy with these LED retrofit lights! They must be used with recessed cans that have “C-clips” (also called torsion clips) that you attach the new LED’s spring metal arms into. My challenge was that the old cans in our house are an unusual style and had no C-clips. I purchased those C-clips separately from Amazon, installed two of them onto each side of my 6.75 inch recessed cans, and they worked perfectly with these new LED lights. Once my new C-clips were installed, each of these LED lights takes literally about two minutes to install. Each LED light comes with a screw-in attachment that goes into the lightbulb socket. There is an orange snap-connector on the end of the screw-in attachment. You cliip that orange connector into a matching one hanging from the LED light. Then all you do is squeeze the metal spring arms to insert them into the C-clips on the recessed cans, and done! The trim and baffle are a fresh new modern look to replace my old yellowed recessed lighting trim. And I am happy to no longer have to change those expensive incandescent indoor flood light bulbs that seemed to blow out all the time. It’s a bonus that these are damp-rated and dimmable (but I am not using them with dimmers). Unlike some other reviewers, I had zero issues with the metal attachment arms. 4000K hue is our preference because as we get older we need bright light. The soft white (2700k) is too dim for us and the 5000k is too glaring. 4000K is perfect. We are slowly switching to 4000k everywhere in our house. I always also pay attention to the lumens, which tells you the brightness-somewhat like the wattage in an incandescent bulb. The higher the lumens, the brighter the light; the K number tells you the hue (yellow, blueish daylight etc). This set of 12 is an unbelievable bargain at $59.99. I needed only 7, so I would have had to purchase the set of 4 for $29.99 + 3 individuals at $9.99 each—that was the same price as the entire set of 12, so I basically got the other 5 free. I do like these lights a lot and recommend them. Next I need to replace a smaller size of recessed lights in a different part of our house and I will buy these same lights again if I can get them in that smaller size. these are super easy to change out with the old light cans. However after 4 years half started going bad. I looked on their sight and they have a 7 year guarantee so I was able to replace them. Thank you for that.

A very clever , quick fix for anyone wanting an easy upgrade to economical LED. Couldn’t be simpler to install. I replaced a dozen 80s era potlights in less than an hour. Brilliant! The choice of colour temperature is an added bonus

Nothing not to like. Fixture is well built. No failures out of box. Duc tape any holes in existing fixtures for easier install or removal

I purchased 2 of these lights sets for a total of 24 and 2 don't work. I've installed these lights and I am very happy with the finished look! Unfortunately I am 2 lights short and it looks terrible. I would greatly appreciate 2 replacement light fixtures to finish this project. The room looks fantastic and the lights look great and make the room. Hopefully it's that easy and customer support can handle this without me having to uninstall 22 lights package up and return for the 2 not working. Love these lights I just need customer service help. Thank you advance. I'll update my review in a few days with my outcome!

We are in the process of changing our common area lighting and our local brick & mortar store doesn't carry these anymore. We're very satisfied with these ones.
