Great performance at a super good price
Bought this to replace a failing 256MB card in an 2006 Dell XPS 410 Core 2 Duo E6600 2.40GHz computer that still runs pretty well, the 2GB RAM on the card coupled with the 4GB RAM in my machine make for a great workhorse computer for internet streaming and light gaming and office and multimedia multi tasking computer. It just may be a little more horse power than I needed for what I use my computer for but at this price I really could not pass it up. I would recommend this as a nice replacement for those who want to keep the price down and upgrade your computer. Also, the fan beefy but quiet and sits on top of a good sized aluminum heat sink, so the card should run pretty cool and I am hoping will be the last one I need to buy for this old Dell.

Bad 2D drivers.
I was looking for a cheap card that has good 2D drivers specifically for accelerated 2D Canvas in web browsers. This is not it. You will experience crashes and browser blacklists with this card. 3D acceleration is acceptable. It's still a fine card for a media pc, video streaming etc. In low profile it's hard to find higher-end cards, but if you can the extra $40 is worth it.

NOT A "G"DDR, other wise a good, quiet video card. BUT IF I KNEW THEN WHAT I KNOW NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UPDATE 10/27/13 The GT620 is limited to duel monitors (2 out of 3 ports at one time) video watching, rendering and LIGHT gaming. For heavier gaming you want the GTX650 $99., GTX650 OC graphics card $119.(3 monitors) or GTX650Ti $148. (4 monitors)(HDMI, DISPLAY PORT out put audio, DVI-I, DVI-D do not) or for major gaming the GTX670 (3 way SLI) $248. I believe all are Windows 8 ready. GET THE CORRECT ADAPTOR CABLES WITH YOUR ORDER. MIKE.2 adaptors for low profile. 1 hdmi/dvi attaching to card it self and 1 for vga port for the slot under it as the vga is connected by ribbon cable, but is not necessary to install if you are not going to use vga and want to use the slot for another card. NOTE; you can only use 2 of 3 outputs at one time, and fan only leaves about 1/4" space from a card in next slot. benchmark at 1914 with 'PCMark7' free program. MIKE,BYEWindows 7/8 32 or 64 bit, uses 1 PCI-E X16 SLOT powered by mobo. as low as 220w power supply.I'm running ASUS MOBO/PHENOM X4 9350e 2.0ghz/4gig CORSAIR DDR2 RAM/500w psu.NOTHING on the box, instructions, or the on screen profile says GDDR. BUT IT IS a good video card for the money, quiet fan but comes very close to card in 1st slot. I down loaded the latest drivers while I still had my PNY 210 CARD IN. When I put in the GT 620 it put a strain on a weak and tired RAM CHIP,(1 OF 2 2G SUPER TALENT, ddr2). Random luck allowed me to figure that out. On 2 GIGs alone it would not allow HDCP on NETFLIX until I installed 2 new Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C5C 4GB XMS2 PC2-6400 800Mhz 240-Pin Dual Channel DDR2, rev 4.3, MOBO is an ASUS M2N-MX SE PLUS rev 2.02G AM2+ and came as a combo with an AMD 7550 ATHLON X2 DUAL-CORE 2.50 GHz 95WATT processor. MOBO is rated to support up to a 65WATT. All work well up to 49c, at 50c it hesitates. at 51c it slows and at 52c is highly unstable. I have ordered a AMD PHENOM II X4 2.0 GHz 8350e and HOPE this will correct the temp problem. Since ordering but not yet receiving I HAVE LEARDED that AM3 CPU CHIPS have 2 less pins then AM2+ and will plug in but may not work with out a BIOS FLASH to up date. Flashing the BIOS has a risk of MOBO DAMAGE. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF I KNEW THEN WHAT I KNOW NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I WOULD HAVE UP-GRADED TO AM3 as AM2 ARE BECOMING MORE RARE, OBSOLETE AND MORE EXPENSIVE THEN THE AM3 COUNTER PARTS. I AM A NOVICE LEARNING THE HARD WAY, !!!!!!!SO HEED MY WARNING!!!!!!!,CHECK YOUR SYSTEMS AGE AND COMPATABILITY WITH THE MANUFACTURERS WEB SITE ABOUT SPECIFICATIONS.update 6/2/2013 --- The question was asked -- Surround sound ? I answered ...NO, HDMI puts out Dolby High Definition 2 channel audio. The sound is noticeably weaker then the cheap audio card I was using. I'm just using a cheaper 8 WATT 2.1 out the head phone jack of a 24" led 1080p with the TV speakers on. It's ok for me next to my bed but I still wish they had the 16 WATT in stock at the time. So you'll have to use a SEPARATE AUDIO CARD FOR SURROUND SOUND. Hope it helps YA...2 others answered yes ........ -- I responded..had not tried to load the software since my trouble with the bad RAM, 2 others answered YES to your Q so I tried again and it loaded fine, and the sound quality is slightly better then previous audio card I mentioned BUT I SEE NO control panel or mention of SURROUND THROUGH the HDMI. I even went to the Realtek site and found nothing. NOTE I used a Blue rigger DVI to HDMI adaptor cable-no sound- to my 22in. lcd as my desk top monitor --in an over/under with the 24in. led-- and the picture is cleaner. I'm not a gamer, I edit home video and whatnot with Pinnacle 16 and it's requirement was a 6series card, so I picked this one and am very happy with it. SEE YA

Did not work.
We could get the computer to work without it, but the screen did not display anything when the card was in place. Complete waste of money.

Waste of money
Compared to the thousands of video cards on the market it is hard to tell if this is enough bang for the buck. I can tell you the card itself is made from higher-end material and looks nice in your computer. I feel, however, for $70 the difference in the games I play are minimal compared to no GPU vs integrated Intel. I could return it because I am less than impressed, but Amazon usually charges restocking. I'll just hang on to it and call it a loss. Please not I am rating the GeForce GT 620 2GB card performance, not MSI as a manufacturer. I feel like MSI makes nicer cards, I just got stuck with a low-end cash bucket.Bottom line- Save about $40 more to purchase a decent card.

Over all, I am very happy with my purchase.
The grafics are incredible. This new Card makes me realize that what I have been seeing, tho was good, has been not even close to how things look now. It is very quiet. I had read some reviews about the fan being noisy, maybe it's cause I'm half deaf..I have watched a couple of movies and the images are very sharp. The card was fairly easy to put in. I had done some research prior to ordering and found what kind of card would fit my computer, this went in like putting your hand in a well fitting glove. Installation was a breeze. software went in without any problems. The price was okay. Not cheap, but not as expensive as some others.Over all, I am very happy with my purchase.

Very good
Running windows 7 with a Gateway computer. I needed a devoted graphics card and was told about this one.It was a good price and ordered through Amazon. It arrived in less time than expected, The instructions were clear and simpleI installed the card myself and installed the driver using the cd that came with it. It's working great and it increased the speed of my computer. It's been over a month since the installation and no problems or surprise's.Even though the card has it's own fan, I don't hear it.

Its not a GTX
Was inexperienced when i got it and didn't know the quality difference between GTX vs GT. Decent for laptop lightweight games
