Informative AND Enjoyable
I'm no data nerd however much I want to be, though in my work it's imperative to be familiar with analytics concepts. With that backdrop, I was daunted to approach Data Driven, but was pleasantly surprised when I found it to be both an accessible and informative read. The story format translated the complex world of the different models of data analytics into concepts I could really grasp in my daily work. A great read!

Easy to read, not too detailed - just jam packed full of useful information for how to think about a sales team. I took furious notes and immediately called my sales ops team.

Excellent book in the form of a “story.” The first day I read it I couldn’t put it down. Very relevant to my sales analyst position.

great message, fun story - but no substance
Overall message for the book: find data from SAP, CRM or whatever, make a report that measures KPI's, and send it out to people on a monthly basis. Measure them on this, and you will see dramatic results. There is no HOW in this book. its just a cute story about a team that found a "data master" and he secretly whipped up some reports in an overnight cram session. Anyone could write this book since it doesnt have any substance. I want to hear from the data master on HOW to do this.

New to the world of Big Data -- this book starts a level that was consumable and quickly helped me see big data's bigger picture in both my personal and professional life. Moving from historical planning or even worse knee-jerk reactionary execution has helped elevate my value at work and personal brand with my peers, partners and customers. This is a must read to any new enterprise employee across all lines of business.
