Open your door all the way
The media could not be loaded. Because of variations in floor height, don't just crack the door open for an install, open the door fully to where to plan to prop it open then install.And then install it a few mm/⅛" lower than you marked. It will stop the door perfectly at that point.I installed without lowering twice and both times I had issues. The kickdown was too high to stop the door. I had to reinstall lower. From then on for the rest of my doors, I installed lower and had zero issues.I love these things. I installed them all over the house for every door we may keep open.

Great idea, not very durable
I love these, however, they are not very tough. I put in 18 and have had to replace 4 already.Easy to install with the screws.Easy to use, very convenient especially for older people or those with limited mobility.

Don’t order
I put it on my door a couple weeks after I bought it, lasted a week then broke! To late to get money back pure junk and the picture in the ad showed six but they only send you two

Bought a Package of 6 and 1 Item Wasn't Even Completely Assembled
Five of the six doorstops were fine. One had come dis-assembled in shipping. The screws on each side had vibrated out and it wasn't noticed right away since the two parts stayed together. Tried to install it to the door and realized something was wrong but by the time it was noticed the spring was damaged. Luckily, I hadn't thrown the box away and the two screws were in the box, and I was able to re-assemble the product and will be able to use it. It won't work as good since the spring is damaged and I can't figure out how to tighten the screws completely which makes it kind of hang loose when in the up position. Due to all of this experience I am concerned that over time the screws won't stay in place as the doors are opened and closed and the door stop engaged. Time will tell.
