I am looking at the large size cone. will this fit a cornish cross? also, the photo makes the cone look very narrow. is it too narrow?

A large rooster might fit but not even a small Cornish cross unless it is 5 pounds or less. Not all roosters have large breasts. The cone shape doesn’t allow the bird to lower into the slot.

Can a 45 pound turkey fit?

Not sure how large a 45 lb turkey is. It might be a bit large for the large cone.

Ive been reading all reviews for med & lg. Alot of people say the med to small and the lg to big for cornish cross.. Not sure what size to get ?

I just used mine for Cornish Rocks, a cross. I have a large. The body is wide enough although a little tight. However, it is too long and narrow so I was having to reach in and pull, stretch, the chicken neck to get it out of the bottom. This made using the knife difficult as I was having to spend so much effort on holding onto the chicken. Whenever I let go or it slipped out of my hand the chicken pulled its head up into the cone. A small chicken may work as it would set into the cone further but the Cornish was so big it stayed up high in the cone and the neck was barely long enough to come out the bottom, and only if I pulled and held it there.
