Multi-age toy
My one year old grandson likes to play with the magnet tiles (not the other plastic parts), my three year old grandson loves to build and smash towers, and I recently took it to a family gathering where several children from 6-12 were amused with it for well over an hour whlle the adults visited.Three people asked me where to buy them that day. They may seem expensive at first, but when you consider the many years it will be used for, it is good value. This is the second set I have bought, because the more pieces you have, the more interesting things can be built. The magnets have the right amount of "pull", sticking easily but firmly and not too hard to pull apart. The ability to build something flat, then lift and have them snap together is very intriguing for all ages. I highly recommend this for any age (even teenagers like to build stuff with them). A great toy to have in your house if you have occasional child visitors.

Great educational toy!
Love the magformers, all the family loves to play with them! we will have to buy at least 1 more set to really enjoy! Update: We purchased this toy 2 years ago. My 2 year old daughter is in love with the magformers now, she plays on daily basis with them. she is very creative with them, since sometimes kids want to create thinks but is hard for them, but the magnets help her to imagine more things and actually be able to create them. The materials are excellent, not even one broke, and my 3 kids gave them lost of use. The magnets are super strong. My 7 and 5 years old learned many ways to use them help a lot on their imagination. They use the pieces to create house for "my little pony" toys, 5 floors buildings and many more thing. It is an expensive toy but is the #1 toy here at home, so i recommend it all the time!

Highly recommend. Great toy.
Both my grandson and I love magformers and this set-my second- was the perfect addition to the original set. I also bought a set of wheels and doubt I'll add anything else. No need! These are the nicest of all the magnetic sets I've seen. The colors are truly eye catching and bright, the material used sturdy, well made and attractive. These have been thrown around and abused as only an active 2-4 year old can abuse, and still look new. They keep my grandson happy and engaged for up to an hour at a time- pretty amazing as this little guy is very active. It also draws adults in to interact with as well, which delights my 4 year old grandson. He was 2 when I bought the first set and he shows no indication that he is getting tired of them. Pricey, but worth every penny as it's well used, inspires creativity, encourages hand/eye coordination, shows longevity and I have two more grandsons behind this one.

Great STEM toy
This product is pricey for a toy, but it sparks imagination and can be added to other sets to expand the collection. I enjoy watching my kid put together the shapes and make new things. Only complaint is that the base field the ferris wheel is also the base for other spinning designs but the Y shaped supports do not easily (if at all) come out of the base once snapped in.

Worth the price; durable and fun
I can't say enough good things about these. The kids love them, they encourage creative play, and they'll hold up to almost anything (just don't submerge them in water). They pack easily into a bag for transport, and wherever I take my son, his friends see these and want to play. The only potential issue is what you'd get with any toy with many pieces - Kids younger than 4 will tend to scatter them and make you sad because they're relatively expensive. There's cheaper brands, but I'm wary of such things when these have held up so well for 2 years now. Worth the price - they provide great value! We've bought 2 sets and a pack of hexagons now. Bonus fact: Unlike Legos, if you step on one, you won't curse your children and want to die...

One of the best, most enjoyed toys I've purchased for my grandchildren ...
One of the best, most enjoyed toys I've purchased for my grandchildren yet!! They were ages 4, 3 and two when I purchased. They're now 5, 4, and 3. They will play with these for hours. Adults love to play with them with the kids but the kids are happy to play with them by themselves as well. Plus my nieces and nephew who are 10, 9, 8 and 7 all play them, too! I really could not ever have enough of these. My only wish is that I could figure out the best kind of storage for them. I'm not likely to keep the boxes and I've used various plastic storage boxes, but none are "just right." Trying to find something that will hold a large assortment, but also have a handle for portability as they are so great to take to visit great grandparents, or anywhere actually. Just a really great item that is used!!

An Amazing Magformers Set.
My grandson loves Magformers. These sets are so helpful for a child's imagination. These helped him so much when the school curriculum introduced shapes to the young students. In his school book the shapes are on paper, but he had an instant understanding after playing and making cars, castles, trains, boats, and other things with the various shaped Magformers. I would say it's a must have for children. He often takes a few a few of them when his family eats out. He'll put shapes together at the table after they have eaten. Every time he does this parents and grandparents stop by and look in amazement and ask what they are an where they can get them. These sets should be in all the stores that have items for children. They should also have them in the schools.

my daughter saw this at at friends house & was mesmerized so we went for it
I bought a couple different boxes, they are all so well together, the magnets are strong and building ideas are endless. My daughter 3.5 went for this every time we went a her little friends house ( boy) and latches on to it.. Even when she was 2 she played with maybe 2 or 3 pieces and just would play and marvel with the magnets of it all. I find the item attractive and addicting, i like making things too out of it, like the old fashioned erector set only easier for younger hands! Love the idea of her building and creating things with hands rather than vid games naturally. they are expensive but so far we havent lost interest, and all friends boys or girls ( ages 2-6) who come over want to play with them and so do the parents...
