I recently used the "Medical Assistant Exam PREP" book to prepare for my medical assistant certification exam, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Explains it very well I’m able to comprehend it better than when I watched the videos for my classes online. Worth the money and time. I feel more confident after reading this.

Haven't really use buy it is really, have good quizzes, I'm 100 percent sure that I will pass my exams this time.

I've been going to school to get my AAMA. I had the school med prep but I also bought this one. This book only has 1 big test section 300 questions. each chapter has its own set of questions of 5-15 questions. I didnt really feel like there was enough test practice questions in this one. Which is why I gave this a 4 star. Really it comes to you either know it or you don't. Study take time and there is no short cuts. Do I think you can pass the AAMA with this book alone? Yes, but only if you take the time to study and read the chapters a few times. If you are taking the AAMA 100% do their practice test. if you get an 80% you'll pass the AAMA remember all you need is a 405 in each area I did pass the AAMA. on 6/9/23. The book is more to the point than I would say my school book but I felt my school book was more detailed. Personally, I think my schools med prep book was better. Each chapter had a 25 test questions with a review with also the Gen/admin/clinic section tests with other random tests. NO school book? This is the next best thing for sure. Overall, just make sure you are getting at least an 80% in each area on your practice tests because the AAMA is harder and you want that fluff for missed questions.

So far I have only read the first and second part of the book. It is broken up in 4 sections. The first part is basically an introduction and goes into detail on information about the different types of certification exams and what to expect. The second part is meant to teach you how become better at test taking if you are not comfortable with. The mini quizzes after each chapter is very helpful and the answer are found right after the test with the answer and explanation on why that is the right answer. Part four is huge test over everything and also has answers and explanations at the end of the entire test. I highly recommend !!

Loved how this book had chapter quizzes and a test to take at the end. I aced my certification test. The one thing that is bothersome is the role a MA is in the book. I have been a MA for 24 years and haven’t had to do about half of it. But this is the case in almost all of the books available
