We have always had good luck with Otterbox phone cases and this one is not different. It still works and has protect the phone from several falls. The only drawback is the little flaps that cover the sound on/off button and the charging port have broken off. I wouldn't rate this as a negative as it has been several years and the "fatigue" of moving it back and forth for years one would expect this to happen.

Protected well my phone as dropped it a couple of times

This is the best protection one can purchase for their phone. However we found it very difficult to open it up to add or remove your phone

I'm very brand loyal to Otter Box and have used them my entire smart phone life. I have never broken a phone in an Otter Box case (knock on wood!) even though I am insanely klutzy and hard on my stuff. I probably drop my phone multiple times a day and work in a professional kitchen, so thus my phone has been exposed to oils, heat, splashes, and overall severe abuse on a regular basis. My last OtterBox case/phone combo was 7 years old before I needed to replace both. Even though my old case was pretty shot by the time I replaced it, the phone inside looked brand new. This new case came in minimal packaging, but from everything I can tell it is a true Otter Box brand case. Very happy with the purchase.

Works great to protect phone but it's a little tricky to install and the screen gets scratched up after a year or so.

My Iphone 8 is 5 or 6 years old. The Otterbox I put on when new was very beat up and broken. The phone inside iss pristine. I was able to find a new Otterbox for an old phone by ordering it on Amazon Thanks

OB is the best product if you want to keep your phone from breaking

I like the Ottorbox Defender because of the rubber type outer case. I have had two prvious ones and never had a damaged phone from a drop or fall. I also like that it comes in different colors, I had used black in the past but it makes it hard to find on black car upholstery I like the new green or teal cover as it is easy to locate in my car.
