Husky electric trailer jack with remotes
Installed this on a 20 ft boat trailer, took about one hour using a side mount bracket and the electrical connection. That includes removing my old crank jack . Jack takes about 28 second. To raise my boat up off my hitch with the drop down piece extended. And 58 seconds when it is not extended. Units is fairly quiet which is a plus! As for power I hook up a seven pin connector with 8 ft cord . This works great on my 4Runner! I also took the male end of the cord and connected it directly to the battery on my trailer dolly. I now have two ways to power the electric jack. I highly recommend the jack.

Husky Brute 4500 is a brute
This is my 2nd brute 4500. The first lasted almost 15 years and 3 different trailers. It finally started failing last year and I had to use the manual crank to go down. I did leave the crank cover off last year and I think that contributed to the final failure of a full lockup of the gears. You do have to disconnect from the battery when not in use as the remote receiver does draw a small amount of voltage continuously. That is my only issue with this jack. Other than that it is A+. I will continue to go with Husky jacks for any of my other trailers. Plenty of power to lift my truck for setting the WDH bars and Quiet and powerful.

DO NOT BUY
This is an absolute waste of money and time. Used this jack 6 times and it’s dead after 20 months. Customer support wasn’t helpful, warranty is 12 months, they don’t sell replacement parts. I thought I’d done my research to buy a quality product. Buy once cry once but that’s not the case. It has power at every possible place to test must be the sealed motor has failed after very limited use. Always covered and zero rust.

After a season of use, still going strong, even with a few session with issues ....
After a season of use, this jack was still going strong. My only issue was after an extended use session where we had a hard time getting the ball and the RV to disengage from each other (was not the jack's fault). The jack was lifting and lowering the RV like a champ when suddenly it just stopped working. We use the manual crank, after disengaging the brake on the jack. After a day in the campground, we tried the jack again and still the jack was not working. On the advice of other and for jiggles, we simply disconnected the jack from the battery and waited a few minutes. Once the jack was re-attached to the battery worked fine after that until another extended use session occurred. However, the same trick of disconnecting the battery from the jack from the battery work again. My theory that there is internal circuit breaker that was tripped and is can only be reset after a power loss / disconnect from the battery. Beyond the two trouble sessions, I find this jack to be quick, powerful, and back saver. So much so that I give it a five star review because of the overall time that it saved and how it saved itself from extended use session automatically (e.g. the jack did not let this fool burn it up).

Great jack
Have been using remote control jacks for the last 6 years. The previous jacks failed for one reason or another, one was my fault (over extended leg and bent the ram. The others failed due weather (high heat) or electronics failed. I use the remote jacks so I don't have to get out of the tow vehicle to verify position of the ball and to lower the jack. This jack is the quietest jack I have ever used and the remote fob works very well, allowing me to do othe things while raising or lowering the jack. The cover is made in such a way as to eliminate water intrusion points which should increase longevity. I do recommend this jack at this point in time based on previous experience. Will report back if needed.

Time will tell- followup 10/17 2022
Too early to completely tell. However I can say I am not impressed at all particularly with a $289 price. This HUSKY 4500 lb unit is to replace a FIC brand 3500lb jack that was on 2020 Flagstaff. The O.E.M. has started to shriek with heavy load and will probably fail soon. This isHusky with remote.. An external circuit breaker with pig tails is provided. How pathetic. The FIC has built in auto reset breaker on a board mounted to the head. This is pathetic! I was expecting HUSKY to be quieter than the FIC ( when not shrieking). This will wake any camper within 200 ft if I set up at night! Louder than f.i.c. Consider too that the HUSKY has recirculating ball / shaft unlike F.I.C with just Acme thread. The 3/8 ths 16 mounting bolts appear cheap. No lock washers with flat washers as instruction calls out.. External star washers were sent. The remote(s) will not operate more than 20 ft from jack. 3 l.e.d. lights on the head of the jack are pretty well useless. A two watt night lite gives more light. Completely inadequate to hook up hitch in the dark. What a joke! The F.I.C. brand had one great light on it. So did my 2019 Puma. The unit is well boxed and secure in Styrofoam and heavy cardboard box. Will return comment with followup. I am Luke warm at best on this and will follow up down the road. 10-13-21 10/ 17/ 2022 No additional comments. Has worked well for over a year since installed. Still peaved about the lights it has!9

I don't write too many reviews but I had to sing some praises for this gem. The installation was incredibly simple. I did wire it directly to the battery instead of using the included circuit breaker due to not having the proper ends to crimp on. There are the obvious pros: no cranking and the extension foot makes adjusting the height a snap. The biggest plus for me is using the factory backup camera in my truck and the remote transmitter, I can back up to my trailer and get the hitch on the ball every time. I've even had other campers come over and ask how I did it. Secondly, the ability to stand in the trailer and level it using the other transmitter is also wonderful. I just put a 2 foot level on the floor inside the door and hold the button until it's level. No need for any ugly levels mounted on the camper or going back and forth checking and adjusting. If you have any hesitation at all about whether or not this is worth it. Stop debating and click "Add to cart"! You won't regret it!!!

Easy installation, great power for lifting 31ft RV and the wireless option included allows easier hook up giving you full control over the jack when backing up to the ball. Very Happy!

This is the second one in 3 years. The first started to fail. I think the inner tube bent and it wouldn’t lower probably
