Magical Dirt is RADIO MOSCOWs fourth studio album. The bands fountainhead Parker Griggs, along with partners-in-crime Anthony Meier (bass) and Paul Marrone (drums), have cultivated yet another blues-rock masterpiece that crossbreeds late 60s psych-rock and face-melting guitar histrionics with the foundation-crumbling rhythms from early 70s hard-rock, and even includes a couple of harrowing tracks built from the bedrock of rural Delta blues. But more than merely digging up fossils from rocks revered past, Griggs & Co. manage to translate the myths of rock-n-rolls golden age into modern day truths for a new, younger generation.

Dynamic Sound....Five ***** Star Status
This is Radio Moscow's fourth release besides the album "3&3 Quarters" their 2012 previously unreleased debut, so five in all.Guitarist/vocalist Parker Griggs keeps with the formula releasing another top notch heavy psychedelic blues rock album. With backing from drummer Paul Marrone and bassist Anthony Meier, Griggs has a rhythm section not only able to keep up to his own playing, but to maintain the blistering pace. Most of the 10 tunes are fast paced finding the band shifting into overdrive regularly, getting stronger as each song passes. 42 minutes of pure energy, true 60's & 70's swagger. The opener, " So Alone" blasts out of the blocks with excellent riffs and effects reminiscent of early Hendrix. This tune sets the pace and tone of heaviness throughout. I love the swampy acoustic intro of "Sweet Lil’ Thing”, very creative."Before It Burns," sizzles, snarling vocals and fiery licks drive this song forward like an out of control freight train. All of the tunes are special in their own right, I especially enjoy how the album goes out on the 10th cut "Stinging", such a unique slow and steady tone which builds from a solid acoustic guitar line and then mixes with clean crisp leads, awesome talent.Radio Moscow delivers 10 well-executed and completely focused originals full of brooding tension. soft and loud tempos, and buckets of pure molten psychedelic blues.I'm just going to have to add this latest pick to my library next to its brothers, crank it over and over again until my ears bleed. Great band, great energy, I love it.

Perhaps one of the best bands you've never heard off. Absolutely quality guitar work and so much better than the generic rock that's forced upon us nowadays, very old skool and a must for fans of vintage caravan, four horsemen, rival sons....you get the idea!!
