Great for certain English pastry and much more.
Still comes in a tin can but flavor and ease of the plastic bottle is far better. It was very hard for me to find not that long ago. A very special syrup with a subtle difference.

Easy to use for delicious bread!
I needed golden syrup to make white sandwich bread from a Paul Hollywood recipe (Great British Bakeoff has cookbooks you can get in the states!!) - I had no idea what golden syrup was, or where to find it, but Amazon to the rescue once more!This syrup came out quicker than I expected, but that's not a bad thing. I was worried it would be slow and sticky and awful to work with (like most USA maple syrups), and it wasn't any of that! It was tremendously easy to measure, use, and cook with.Also my bread turned out delicious, so this syrup will be getting well used!
