the packaging and shipping has ALWAYS been excellent, thank you bulksupplements! after tons of research, we started adding l-histidine hcl to my daughter's diet to reduce the amount of steroid ointment she needs for her skin to stay healthy. she's been to the dermatologist and tested for allergies - the determination is that her body doesn't produce enough fillagrin. we've tried diet modification. NOTHING helped except slathering her every night in lotion followed by head to toe application of steroid ointment - until we added in the l-histidine hcl! now, she still gets lotion nightly, but barely any steroid ointment! it's been fantastic. we use almond bark and flavors to make her 'chocolates' - but it can also be dissolved into juice. it goes very well with citrus flavors!!

I've been taking l-histidine for about 2.5 months. I haven't noticed any adverse effects. For me it has been effective for allergies and "other" issues. ;) I take either 0.5 - 1 teaspoon, usually in the evening. Recently, I have been taking my amino acid powders with lecithin granules dissolved in heated water. I start with 1 - 2 teaspoons of lecithin granules and about a tablespoon of water. I microwave this for about 1 minute (sometimes I add a little more water to cool it quickly if a minute was too long), whisk it until the granules look dissolved, then add one or more amino acid powders and whisk again. The addition of lecithin seems to help me absorbed the amino acids better.

I initially tried a few ounces from a friend who has had positive results after taking this for a few months. I took this with juice daily at the recommended serving. I noticed my chronic allergies were slightly less severe at night. Nights are the worst! For me, the slightest decrease in symptoms convinced me to make a purchase to see if this can really make a difference. I’m working my way up to 2 grams daily to keep symptoms under control. Been taking this for about a month but so far so good. I understand supplements can take 2-3 months to have significant benefits. Please do your own research and speak with a professional to see if this supplement will benefit you.

L-Histidine seemed to be helping eczema, but you need a decent dose to match those scientific studies. So we liked it! It blended into coffee, smoothies, whatever. No taste and seemed beneficial. We quickly finished the small bag and needed more. To facilitate the “eczema-sized dose,” I bought the big bag…and it was the wrong one. I hadn’t realized there was another option on this listing. Don’t be like me. See if you’re buying L-Histidine and not L-Histidine **HCL***. Those last three letters make a big difference in formula! L-Histidine HCL is sour. Like, Warheads or Sour Patch Kids sour. It won’t blend seamlessly into coffee or smoothies. So click carefully when shopping folks!

No flavor, many reviews mentioned hard to dissolve. It did not dissolve in a smoothie, however I put it in room temperature tea (Yogi brand Detox tea) one day and it completely dissolved quickly. It was difficult to find the scoop needed on Amazon until I looked for by 500mg instead of 1/5 tsp. Hope this helps and the supplement helps you too. It's too early for me to say it is the miracle for eczema sufferers although I have noticed an improvement.

The supplement arrived quickly and is nicely packaged in a ziplock type package. There is no real flavor to speak of, so it is pleasant to scoop it into a small glass of juice, mixing it in and swishing it around the glass lightly before drinking it quickly (that works best to avoid a lot of powder being left in the glass. I have been religiously taking it once a day in the morning as well as a vitamin B3 capsule about a month now. While I still have small, stubborn itchy spots, my hands (which were the worst eczema prone areas) are much improved. I will keep taking it and applying a suitable ointment/cream to the dry areas.

It’s too soon to review if it’s helping my eczema yet as my dermatology recommended it. But, I see why she suggested that I blend it in my smoothies, it doesn’t dissolve at all. I’ve tried it in juices and tea and it doesn’t dissolve even a little bit!! So, definitely use it in a smoothie!! I’ve read good reviews for it helping eczema, and I trust my dermatologist’s expertise, so I’m looking forward to the benefits. P.S. Although it doesn’t dissolve, the taste isn’t horrible. It’s just an annoying task trying to drink an undissolved product, but I have no complaints about the taste. And you can’t taste it at all in the smoothie, so that’s a plus.

This is a great value for the price! I purchased it to help increase my husband's histamine levels, since he's extremely low. He's taking it with niacin, zinc, and B6. He just started taking it so we'll see how he does, but so far so good!
