I never knew water could taste this pure and delightful.
This is one of the times that buying the upgrade isn't frivolous. This filter is phenomenal. When you first use it, the water filters quite fast. But when it's near the 6-month mark and you need to replace it, it slows down significantly. I know that sounds silly (or annoying) but I always had filters that went at the same speed regardless of term-of-use. In other words, you know that it is still working hard by the end of the efficacy cycle. Alright, I am no scientist so that is all my assumption. Most important is the taste! I have literally never tasted better water. When I first moved back to Chicago, I thought the tap water was alright as far as taste. Then I got this Brita filter. Oh. My. Gosh. It's insanely delightful and refreshing!

Slow filtering, but worth the wait.
I’m giving these five stars, even though I clearly have no way of finding out whether they filter to the level that Brita claims, but I’ve been using Brita products for decades, and I trust them. I have really great water, but prefer to filter out the chlorine flavor and any other contaminants that might be in the domestic water supply. The only downside to these filters is that they are exceptionally slow. Plan ahead to make sure you have an adequate amount of water in your container. Seat the filter properly and tightly, and the water will filter through a drop or two at a time. It’s slow, but the water tastes great Once it’s through.

Work great, fits perfect and last extra long.
I like Britta Filters in general but this one is a step up because it lasts much longer than the old style. Easy to use as always, drop it in, flush and enjoy. This filter works with both Brittas we have and fits perfectly. The Filter works great, we have smelly water and after it is filtered the smell is gone. I‘m happy about the price, it’s a good value for the money.

Better than bottled water.
I have been using this Brita setup now for a couple of years, I am sold and will continue using this setup for a long time. My water even tastes really clean and fresh at room temp. My cities water is so so in taste out of the tap,but after using this Brita system, the taste buds are sold. The water tastes better, so for the water to flush through the filter, it has got to be capturing what made the water different out of the tap. I know the charcoal system of filtration works from my time of having a fish tank for years, the water was always clear and my fish were healthy as I had a couple of my fish for years. I get 6 to 7 months per filter, that makes it worth the price of my filters I buy.

Noticeably Better Taste, but Pricey for Long-Term Use
I’ve used standard Brita filters for years, but decided to try the Elite version after noticing more chlorine taste in my tap water lately. Installation was super easy—just rinse, insert into the pitcher, and go. Within a few hours, I could already taste a difference. The water is noticeably smoother and cleaner, and there’s no more chemical aftertaste. What I really like about the Elite filter is the 120-gallon lifespan. I don’t have to swap it out every couple of months like the standard filters. That alone makes it more convenient and eco-friendly since I’m throwing away fewer cartridges. That said, these are more expensive upfront, and if you’re not drinking a lot of water daily, it might not feel worth it. Also, the flow rate can slow down a bit after a few weeks, which surprised me since it's marketed as a higher-end option. Still, overall I’m happy with the performance. I’d recommend this to anyone serious about better-tasting water and less maintenance—but maybe wait for a sale or buy in a multi-pack to get the most value. ✅ Pros: Great tasting water Long 6-month lifespan Easy to install ❌ Cons: Pricey Flow slows slightly over time

Love the Brita Elite!
I’ve been using the Brita Elite Water Filter Replacement for a while now, and honestly, it’s been a great upgrade from the regular Brita filters. The thing I appreciate most is how long it lasts—about six months per filter. Not having to swap it out every month or two is a relief, and it cuts down on plastic waste too. As for the water itself, the difference is noticeable. It tastes cleaner and doesn’t have that faint chlorine smell my tap water usually has. If your water tends to have a weird aftertaste, this filter really does help.

Elite filters also work on micro plastics.
These are probably the most expensive Britta water, pitcher refills, but they do claim that they filter out micro plastics. That’s why I bought them and they are good for six months at a time.

Works in my original Brita Ultramax
I had an old 1st generation Brita Ultramax stored away in my cabinet that I have not used in years and thought I would try this newer Brita elite water filter in it. It was a tight fit, but it seems to be working good.
