When I took the first practice test, I was surprised by how tricky some of the questions were. I have a degree in English, yet still had a difficult time identifying some of the irregular verb tenses. I spent a lot of time studying up on them, but didn’t need to. They weren’t on the test.So the good news is - the actual test is much easier than the practice tests in the book. That said, they are still a great way to identify where you need to brush up. The accompanying online videos were very clear helpful to me. Math is not my strong suit, yet I confidently breezed through the math portion thanks to those videos.A final word - the 5th practice test had questions about possessive pronouns. Is “their” not acceptable as a singular pronoun these days? Luckily, it wasn’t on the test!Despite these flaws, this is a good book. I especially recommend the free accompanying videos. I also recommend that you go on the NYSTCE site and take at least one of their practice exams. They are much closer to the real thing, and they give you instant feedback. Good luck!

This book Mometrix is a very beneficial book. I am using it to get ready for my exam. I recommended my other co-worker to get this book.

This book is an excellent resource. Very detailed and organized. And it has 5 practice tests with answers. Super helpful.
